Obviously possessing both muscle mass and a low body fat % is the best, although it is a lot easier to focus on one. Results come quicker and are more pronounced. I am of the mindset that one should pursue which ever one your body naturally gravitates towards. If you are a big man get bigger, if you are ripped, get more ripped. Do women seem to prefer one over the other, or do they look more for proportion and balance? My Stats: Age 20 5'10'' 170 LBS 7% Body Fat |

I'm 19, 5'6 and 140 pounds so not that impressive, and my body fat must be 9%-10% First of all I talked to alot of girls that I was seeing, and they all agree a good body is a bonus, NOT a game changer, unless she's a superficial slut. Second, different girls like different things. Alot buy in the Ryan Reynolds paradigm of male body, but there are a lot who like the raw "caveman" physique. My housemate told me she is more attracted to broader shoulders and bigger muscles than definition. Third, you can do both bulk and clean definition, but it takes remarkable discipline and effort to manage both. Things like eating super healthy, always sticking to 4-5 meals a day, tough cardio after workout etc which will be well difficult if you have a job or go to university.Typical bodybuilding rhetoric is bulking till satisfied, not minding putting on a bit of fat, then going into the so called "shredding season" where you cut focus on definition and fat loss. Basically, don't base your bodybuilding and working out on what girls think. Do what you feel looks best for you! More than about attracting girls is about building your self esteem and confidence. And remember body is a bonus, but game is the core. Better game > Better body |
