Every time I go to the grocery store I browse down the frozen foods isle and wonder if any of the packages aren't that bad for you. Are there any healthy frozen foods? If so, which of the frozen foods should I get? Any recommendations?

They're all high in sodium, so buy as little as you can. If you're REALLY into frozen dinners, avoid the ones high in transfat.

I'm a big fan of frozen vegetables - ie broccoli, carrots etc.

Stick it in the freezer and a packet will last for ages compared to fresh stuff which has to be eaten within a few days...

Don't like to use frozen food and try to avoid to use them. The disadvantage to frozen fruits and vegetables is that some may of fruits and vegetables so long as you pay attention to the food label. They are not healthy.

I see this question typically from a lot of people, Frozen fresh is good for example fruit. Anything other then fruit and vegetables you want to stir away from. Although you want to use fresh for most of your diet your better of creating your own vegetable and fruit patch.

Frozen vegetables are indeed healthy for you and others that state otherwise don't really think with their own minds or have much nutrition knowledge. In most cases they are better due to the vitamins and minerals being preserved although in some cases this may be lowered.

It really comes down to your micros and knowing what your body needs to fuel itself as it is indeed an advanced system. Although fresh vegetable and fruits within grocery markets may seem fresh no one knows the real quality due to pester sides and other relaying factors that come into play or for example how long they have sat in the open.

If you can eat fresh food ever, please do, because it's usually always the better option compared to frozen foods. I don't mind frozen food once in a while, but I always make sure to watch my sodium, so it isn't often.

General rule is you should eat frozen meat within 6 months it should be o.k. as long as it hasn't been in there longer than that.

different time frames for different items

the time frames are a guide that it will taste the same as when you put it in the freezer

going over the time it is still safe to eat but it may not taste as good as it would fresh

so for example old meats say a rump steak if its been in the freezer for a year or so you wouldnt eat it as a steak , you would slow cook it in a casserole for example

There is nothing really bad in taking that but we take that on daily basis surely that is an inappropriate thing and can cause serious obesity,Keeping ourselves away from it is a better option.
