So I workout, like 5-6 days a week. I have been doing so for about 4 years now and I consider myself to be in good shape. However I still look at myself with the mindset of "this could be bigger" "could trim some fat there" etc etc However I often get compliments and people look at me like I'm crazy when I say I am not completely happy with my body. Is this a common mindset amongst body sculptors? (I wouldn't say I'm a body builder idk sculptor was sorta the best way to describe it) |

I've been at it pretty good for two years, and I can relate. I also, see guys in better shape than me and they always want to be bigger, less fat etc. |

Yes there is room always for improvement but do not let that totally consume you. That's where self obsession could start to become a problem. Some women do like a guy who is really buff and has large muscles from going to the gym however some women also dislike it and they can instantly disqualify you as a potential suitor by stereotyping you as a 'meat head'. I'd find a balance that works for you, a man who is alpha can accept and embrace his imperfections. |

Ok so it is a common thing. Is there any way to slow down the obsession? I wouldn't say I'm unhappy with how I look. In fact I'm quite proud. But I always have the feeling that if I push it a little further then I will be completely happy. |

I say focus on some inner game. 5-6 days a week is a lot bro. Your body actually needs time to recover. You might get similar result with 3 days a week but intense work outs. Its the Minimum Effective Dose school of thought. I saw some videos on the 21 convention website and the book 4 Hour Body by Tim Farriss talks about it. You can use the extra time to focus on the inner game that might help with just being happy with the body you've created! |

How does one work on inner game? And what would you define as inner game? I have recently read the power of now and have become heavily interested in spirituality and the relinquishment of the ego. What other ways or concepts are there to inner game? |

I workout 5days a week, excluding basketball cardio. I want to get extra rip and get faster and jump higher. Until I reach my goal I'll keep on pushing. No inner game issues here. So what's my point? If your doing this things to improve to Your standards then I say keep doing it. But if your doing it by because of outside influence then yes you might consider inner game. As far as people complimenting and thinking your crazy, well find that to be the norm. I'm in great shape compare to your average Joe but no where near where I want to be. It goes for gaming too. My friends thinks I'm really good at my night game and they think I'm crazy for wanting to improve more. So by their standards I'm like the lucky bastards with the lucky gift to the pua community I'm averrage if at that. Don't take peoples opinion to direct. Standards will be different for every person. |

monks-are-huge-pimps-dealing-with-react ... 39834.html this ^ video is pretty cool as for the gym, donno how to stop that, I like looking at myself and obsessively tracking progress, and no matter how ripped you get, you always just keep being able to spot imperfections even though you can see you are fucking hot, you can still be hotter, always can tighten up the diet more and eat cleaner, always can lift just a little more or do one more rep, never good enough, not that it makes you feel unhappy or that you aren't impressed with all you've done, it's just like it's never finished, donno if that is a good thing or bad thing, but same for me |

I'm on the same boat, I train MMA several times a week and have done for a long time. People, especially girls, are generally impressed by my body, but I'm a perfectionist - I don't think I'll ever be 100% happy with my physique. I like my body, and I'm proud of it, but there'll always be room for improvement. I think that's a good mindset to have, not just in terms of fitness but in life in general - that is, constantly trying to push yourself and improve yourself, so long as you don't become self obsessed. I often read this when I want to motivate or inspire myself: http://dearmoleskine.com/wp-content/upl ... r-life.jpg |
