Post subject:  30 days challange - low carbs and no junk

Last night I opened this really hot chick that totally blew me off. I didn't give a shit, never do. Then I dance next to her and I see her eye fucking someone behind me. I turn around, it's some idiot without his shirt off... but with an awesome body, low fat... ripped. Three minutes later they were making out. I know this girl for days, she always dances alone, never with a guy, I've never seen her make out with anybody. Until the right good looking guy comes along.

It goes back to my "girls are shallow" thread.

Anyway, it's not only about that, about girls and looking good. Eating junk clogs your brain, makes you unhappy, weakens your immune system, makes you die younger.... no need to explain.

Anyway I'm eating pretty healthy but I want to try and take it to the next level. SO - starting right now - carbs only until 12 pm (and only complex carbs) and then NO junk, drinking only water, and after 12 pm just vegetables and meat / fish. I love junk food so this is going to be really hard for me.

I'm posting this to help myself go thru with it and I'll update it as I go along. Join me if you'd like.

I've started something similar a week ago, since I'm really skinny I decided to do this:

I'm training taekwondo for some time now, and you burn A LOT of calories in that sport, I'm eating as an elaphant but my metabolism is getting all the calories out of my system fast, so I can't gain weight. But since it's a good aerobic exercise to burn fat, I decided to add anaerobic exercises (lifting weights, gym) to my list and I bought proteins for gaining weight, basically the plan is this with proteins and anareobic exercises to gain weight for let's say 5 kg for now (if you go up with weight you have to go slow, it's healthier) and with my aerobic practice to cut all the fat that is produced during the process.

But like you said being ripped and healthy has several advantages: some girls will have instant attraction, not every guy in the club that pumps his ego can pick on you (trust me you think twice, before you get in a fight with a buff gorilla :D) and ultimately is healthy.

Healthy spirit in a healthy body ;)

In my diet I eat carbs only in the first 3 hours of the day. So if I wake up at 9 am, I can have as many carbs I want, eat anything as much as I feel like, but only until 12 pm. Then I switch to no carbs at all, not even fruits. And it's important not to even touch it, a small piece of bread will change your metabolism and screw the entire process. So it's important to stay hardcore.

So at 12 I had foot long Tuna sub at Subway, said no to the cheese and cookie and soda. Now (~6 pm) I had half a roasted chicken with salad.

I can't go to the gym as I'm traveling, but I do 100 pushups every day...

Is this diet effective for losing weight or building muscle? I want to lose about a stone in weight and don't know how to go about it, could i follow this kind of diet?

It's exactly for losing weight and it's easy to follow because for three hours a day you can eat as much as you want from whatever you want. You can eat three pizzas and still lose weight... just make sure you do it in the first 3 hours of the day.

Had another salad... I feel great.

Iv been on a low carb diet since mid Feb and lost about 20lbs. its not easy and is only really worth it if you are a serious gym rat.

Try something like this:

40-50 mins low intensity cardio

7.30 breakfast Porridge: 30g oats + skimmed milk + tsp sugar
3 egg whites + 1 egg yolk scrambled
200ml fresh fruit juice

10.00 100g chicken breast
2 oatcakes
Fruit
Mug green tea

12.30 180g tuna or mackerel salmon or chicken breast
30g wholemeal pasta or basmati rice
Large mixed salad
Mug green tea

15.00 100g chicken breast
2 oatcakes
Fruit
Mug green tea

45 mins pre-workout 20g whey protein powder in water
2 oatcakes
Banana
Drink water

45 mins intense weight training

Immediately post workout 40g whey protein powder + 5g glutamine in water

Evening meal
60 mins later 150g lean red meat or 180g salmon steak
40g wholemeal pasta or 40g basmati rice or 2-3 small boiled new potatoes

phangan i have a few questions and before i ask i just wanna tell you where im coming from. im the kinda guy that will try anything, if you tell me by eating like this ill lose weight then hell ill give it a try and if it works it works but i wont take your absolute opinion until i have tried it myself....
so with that
when you say no carbs not even fruit i get a little worried as i am a huge snacker. what am i to snack on? celery and carrot is about all i can think of? salami sticks? what about nuts?
also i work late nights usually from 3pm-10pm so dinners are usually whatever i can get my hands on (tv dinners or mcdonalds) so im thinking pre prepare meals early in the week, do like a batch of chilli and take it into work to microwave on my late shifts, im sort of struggling on ideas for meals to. are condiments acceptable or am i supposed to be eating dry chicken? thanks man.

Simply go to a dietologist and make your life easy.

That'd be my advice bro :)

Yes, and broccoli. Anything which isn't carbs. Eggs, cheese... but really if you stick with chicken and vegetables, it's so easy. No Ketchup... why dry? if it's fresh chicken grilled in it's skin etc, it shouldn't be dry. Nuts are ok. But really, if you want a snack, try broccoli. Buy 10 frozen packages, put one of them in the micro for 5 minutes and see if you like it. You can eat it as much as you want, even 1 kg... until your full. I tried this already for a few months and trust me it works, try it and see for yourself.

Post subject:  I'm in as well.

I was on the fence about joining this forum until I read this post. There's a LOT of great information on this site but I really love how motivating everyone is. Having recently gone through a divorce I'm no in the best physical shape of my life. I too love junk food as it's sadly become a comfort for me but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.

Will be checking back here daily. Anyone have any good meal plans for a diet like this?

Thanks,
-Drew
