Hey guys, sorry about the topic. Coz that's not what I'm here to talk about. I'm here to ask for your help. This is me in case you need a mental image.
Height-5'8
Weight-154 lbs
Age- 16 years
Build-Not so much athletic.
Sports engaged in-Boxing
So anyways, I need to know a few things.
1- As I said, I'm not the most sexy toned guy around. I need to shed off a few to get there. So, what do you guys think I should do?
I need to tone my upper body as in chest, and abs. Any special or -ahem-BRUTALLY EFFECTIVE techniques to get there?
2- I've considered weight lifting. Is it risk-free for me to do that?
3-And I need to get a bit taller. Anywhere around 6 feet would be awesome. Any ideas on how to get there?
Cheers mates.

I admire that you want to work on your physical appearance, but some things just aren't in your control. If you want to be taller, you should consult whoever contributed to you gene pool! haha. As far as putting on some muscle, get a gym membership! If the guys at the gym aren't willing to help you out, there's always the personal trainer option (or google). Just come up with a workout plan and don't overdo it. The idea is progress, not destruction. You're making tiny tears in your muscles and letting them heal every time you lift something a tad heavier than your current capability.

Keep yourself clean, healthy and stay assertive, man! You'll be fine. As long as you're not unkept, it doesn't matter what you look like!

try inclined bed therapy. it stimulates bown growth...
inclined bed therapy costs you nothing and only holds benefits for your health..
ok correction...it costs, if you suddenly need to get your trousers extended, which used to be fine in length for years.. that's what I had to do recently (2inches! at age 40!)

Your not getting taller bro sorry. Get some arches for your shoes but your not getting taller.

Yeah you will not build muscle without weights, so better start going to the gym. You could try to just do body weight stuff but you will not get bigger

again...IBT (inclined bed therapy) stimulates bone growth; no matter what age.

He may get taller. I'm 19 and over the past year I've gone up 1 inch. I think I've stopped now, but I'm now 6ft 2", at age 16 I was only a little taller than this guy.

HIIT seems to be fantastic for fat loss.

In general, cardiovascular workouts help to trim the fat (jogging for example). Weight lifting helps to build and tone muscle. Heavier weights and less reps (aim for 3 sets of 8) to build muscle. Lighter weights and more reps (aim for 3-5 sets of 20) for toning muscle. Toning helps with definition.

For abs, just do sit-ups each night before you go to sleep. It will hurt at first but after a few days you will be able to do them no trouble. Try and increase your number of reps each week.

Weight lifting is perfectly safe as long as you don't try lift something heavier than you can manage. Also, good form is always better than heavy weights. Gym-goers have a lot more respect for someone lifting a lighter weight with decent form, as opposed to trying to lift a heavy weight with bad form. Start small and with good form you will improve massively.
