Currently I am doing 5x5, but I wanted to change it.

How many sets and reps do you do?

If your goal is maximum muscle mass gain, I would recommend doing 1x10-12. But when I say 1 set of 10-12 reps, I mean there are 2-3 warmup sets preceeding it, and then 1 set where you fail at 12 reps.

5x5 could be a decent option but only if you wanted strength gains with small amounts of hypertrophy

HIT is a waste of time if your natty

I do 3-4 sets, ranging from 8-15 reps, depending on the exercise.

Well to make sure I don't ruin gains or do anything extreme. I think I am going to switch from 5x5 to 4x8 this month then 3x12 next month and see if I see a diffrence in muscle from 3x12 and 5x5.


I don't want anything complicated like dropsets.
