i cant find a damn job!

im starting university in September so i want a job to get a car, move out and generally just have some more Independence.

but handing out cv's for months has got me not even a phone call let alone an interview

as for online applications i can never find a vacancy in my part of london (south east)

can someone hook me up with a decent cv template or just give me some good advice as how i can make money (without selling drugs :P )

become a club promoter, also a great way to meet people. i'm positive they have them in the uk (i live in america) all you do is hand out cards but the really money is in tables, when they reserve a VIP table through you you'll get a cut

Get work in your Student Union bar(s), that's what I did and it's a brilliant way to gain exposure to several societies who usually meet there and other students to build a larger social circle.

Plus it involves talking to a high volume of people in a short amount time which is great for boosting confidence with talking to strangers that's what you need.

Also your union will understand if you have to miss shifts because of a deadline/exam as long as you don't milk it.

Lastly seriously forget getting a car unless it is 100% necessary because most people at uni won't bring their cars or have one. This is because as you probably know it's crazily expensive to own a car which is the last thing you need at uni... trust me!

Out of interest what are you studying etc?

I have a lot of friends that study History!

Depending on what uni you are at you might find you hardly need a car :)
