| Post subject: | Time for the game? |
Ok, so I've only opened a few sets here and there since I'm relatively new to the game, but I'm starting my first job in a few days and NEED to be alert and ready to make a good impression. I also, however, need to get laid. So there, my friends, is the conundrum. I will be working a typical 8-4 job, but there is an hour commute, and getting ready involved which, all in all leads to a 6am-6pm time commitment 5 days a week. Since I've already been interning there and know the routine, it comes to a point where I'm even too tired to go out on the friday night right after work. I'm trying to go out 3 times a week, but that'll probably affect my work, so my questions are as follows: What do you guys do to get out of your tired, just got out of work, "I woke up at 6-o-friggin-clock-in-the-morning today" state, and into the talkative, energetic socialite state in just 1 or 2 hours (since I go out at 8 or 9 typically). How do you get refreshed and ready for the work day in a good state of mind when you went out sarging the night before? Any tips based off of your daily routines? Any tips on "rituals" you do before you go out to get the talkative juices going? Any supplements or drinks help you revitalize in the morning (not coffee!) to start off the work day right after a night of sarging? Should I just go out for 2 hours and if an HB bites for an f-close I guess I'd have to bite the bullet and have a shit work day the next day? Any suggestions would be great. EQ |

You can do it that's for sure. Friday's go home and get a couple of hours sleep. I do this and it makes the world of difference, if I don't I'll be stuffed by 11pm, but if I get a couple of hours sleep before I go out I'll be fine until about 3am. Saturdays are easy. Go out on a Sunday afternoon, usually there's plenty of places that are pumping by 3pm and you can wrap it up by 9pm. So there's your 3 nights out. |

What about happy hours? If you're that stretched for time, then I would limit approaching to just the weekends.Getting less than 6hrs of sleep sucks, and in the long run will hurt your career. The rest of the week though, you can cultivate hobbies and a social life, which can help with a great deal with cold approaching. Look at things like meetup and other social orgs. |

as long as your eating healthy youll usually have a lot of energy because your body will feel better. Eating healthy does wonders for your life. I think the happy hour idea is great. Go out for 2 or 3 hours and then if you meet someone itll still be early enough to get down to business and go to bed at a reasonable hour. I think it's great you want to stay social while also having a full time job. Both lives are important and its great you recognize that. Good luck |

On Friday, go out with some co-workers immediately after work, before you get tired. You can usually find cheap drinks and the occasional happy hour buffet at that time. Another idea is to go to a tea house or coffee shop first on Friday night before the clubs, get a little help from the caffeine and use the time to warm up your game. |
