Hope everyone shall share some intresting tips..

I myself looking for some new hobbies/activities to do in free time.

Mostly Id like them to be productive, so not stamp collecting..

Subjects that teach you valuable new life skills like:

-learn a new language

-excercise more, and become stronger

-Read books

I still have trouble DHVing though - since I've been brought up to be modest it's like I've gotta relearn how to talk to people and include this stuff in convo.

i agree with impro learning a new Language helps. I live in Japan and since my Japanese improved i have a better understanding on interaction with japanese people . learning the language of a place you want to visit/live in later in your life can help you down the road. Not just for picking up but open doors for other possibilities.

Working out is always a must That shouldn't be a hobbie that should be considered a daily routine

learn to play a musical instrument like a piano or guitar or drums. dont even consider flute or anything that goes into your mouth lol except a saxophone

learn to fucking cook! most guys/girls these days dont know shit about cooking. cooking at home saves some cash . girls love a guy that can cook. i dont think any girl would disagree with me ( except a bulimic bitch)

i notice some of the response about how these things shows you how to be creative and sensitive. You are doing this for yourself. Dont start a hobbie just cause it might make you look Sensitive or creative to others. This is for You, Side effect might be that it makes you sensitive or creative but you did it for yourself not for anyone else.

I'm currently enjoying body building a lot.

Other stuff I consider: learning to cook, reading more, playing the guitar, doing Yoga, dance class, etc.

If you can dance and cook it's a HUGE DHV because you set yourself apart most men. You have like super qualities that only gay men have and you're straight.

I enjoy drawing during my free time. Sketching real life objects (or even images) made me more observant to details, and you feel a sense of accomplishment when your art turns out good. But, as NonStopReaper said, pick the hobbies that are relevant to you, and not something that would just make you look cooler or sophisticated. If you do so, it shows your desire for other's approval, which is very "unPUA-like".

cleaning: it's good for the mind and body and you'll always be prepared to bring a woman over. it's very important to always be prepared. you should never have to preface someone coming into your home with "it's a little messy but..." i've had many woman comment on how impressed they are that I keep my bathroom clean.

exercise: makes you healthier and look better. even if it's just pushups and situps or messing around with a dumbbell or stretching out.

cooking: eating is one of the most important and fundamental things that we do at least 3 times a day. i enjoy learning how to cook healthy, tasty meals. cooking impresses women too ;)

obligations: I try to get a jump on whatever obligation I have and no matter how far in the future. it's stressful to have things sitting on the shoulders. I always feel relaxed when everything that needs to be done is done. productivity is a good quality.

reading: whether it be my favorite type of book, something I need to read for class, for current events. reading makes me a smarter and more informed member of society.

self-defense: this doesn't have to be about kicking people's asses. in fact, if you take a good martial arts class, you will learn many ways to avoid confrontation without the use of fists. not only do martial arts classes train, strengthen and tone the body, but a lot of self-confidence comes in knowing that you are able to protect yourself and those you care about. that is the kind of self-confidence that shines through; women notice

dancing: it's true that women associate dancing with sex. plus, women think that dancing is sexy. third, women like to dance so you have something to do with women...something physical that involves touching. last, dancing is fun.

Is cooking really that much of an uncommon skill amongst guys these days?

A while back, I was doing a roast for about 8 friends (50-50 guy to girl ratio) and needed help with the crazy last 15 minutes (everything comes ready at teh same time). I wanted to know who knew how to cook so they could do the tricky stuff. When I asked, every guy put his hand up and not one girl.

edit - to contribute - learn about psychology. There's a good chance that you'll find it interesting if you're into PUA-ery.

I'll second dancing and cooking. A homecooked meal is a GREAT date with that dancer girl you just met (field tested material  )
Playing ukulele is easy to learn and easy to carry around. People just smile and love it whenever they hear even the simplest of tunes
