Post subject:  Advice needed.

I need some hobbies that aren't 18+/suitable for someone 17/partners/ will not require money/ (saving for university- unless it's vital).
So no salsa dancing lessons, or instruments.

I need suggestions on upgrades in my life.

Currently I've resolved to:
-Read literature (books)
-Pursue knowledge (research topics that have applications in life/interests me)
-Work out
-Computer Graphic Design
-Tablet Drawing (Computer)

Planning on learning photography. Investing 800 dollars in a good camera.
If any of you do photography as a hobby, could you give me some input?

Interested in mixed martial arts, sports, parkour/free running.
However how would I learn martial arts? Do I need to buy a punching bag or something?

Most sports require a partner to learn, and most people my age aren't as committed as I am. So I prefer a sport I can practice by myself.

Parkour and freerunning.....how would I even start this? It seems hard to self teach, and I don't want lessons (not formal ones anyways).

Free to suggest completely new interests I could consider also (:
If possible please include the pre-requisites needed and the first couple steps to get immersed in it.
I have a background in badminton (need partner to play), hockey (need partner + new skates and gear). drawing (seems useless and pointless).

You can upgrade your hobbies and interests by reading personal devlopment stuff. Also research and take advantage of community dance lessons. Ballroom dancing is hot. Most larger cities have free or little charge dancing instructions. Just broaden your horizons in all aspects.

I've improved academically, and a bit physically (eating habits starting to suck again though).
I just can't keep my plate portions small when I'm around friends - which caused me to gain a couple pounds sadly.

Looking to do new hobbies after exams end, thinking MMA and photography :)
What about you guys? Any other advice?
