I messing up with my accounting course at university. The thing is I've already fucked up 35% of my course by getting a D or F range. Totally didn't hand in an assignment which is worth 10%. The thing was that I sent in my part to my teammates before the deadline. They didn't see it, and did my part anyway and then sent in the assignment w/o my name. They say I didn't call them so I didn't contribute to the assignment so I get nothing. I still have 55% for the exam, but I don't know if it's enough to pass!! Since it's based on the bell curve. It's like 10% of the students get A range, 20%-30% of the students get B range, and so on, 5-10% F. This is a class reserved for the brightest of the university!!! How much do I need in the exam to pass?? A, B, can I pass the course?? The other thing is I missed another exam worth 35%, and the final is worth 65%, if I do that I don't know if I can still pass...even though 65% seems like a possibility. I've had this problem forever!!Every semester I'm on the brink of being kicked out! Any advice greatly appreciated!! |

Hey man.... I feel your pain.... I was the exact same way when I was an undergrad... I was on the brink of getting kicked out of university also... I eventually got my shit together and not only did I graduate with an honors degree, but I also went on to do an MBA and now I have a successful career... How did I do it? I started hanging out/studying with people that were focused on studying... After a semester of this I had developed strong work ethic... Hope this helps.... |

Salsero, Thanks. But I hang out with tonnes of guys with good work ethic. How did you arrange to study together? Cause sometimes I feel that it's very needy and weird to ask people to study together even though tonnes do that. Furthermore, do you think that if the exam is worth 55% like mentioned above and I fucked up the 45%, if I work hard I can pass the course? |

Hey man, I will leave it to others to give you advice about the upcoming exams. I want to give you 2 cents on your lifestyle as a whole. This is the point in life when you have to decide what you want for yourself. Do you want a life of constantly feeling like you do now, or do you want a life where you command happiness and satisfaction? I am sure the answer is simple and the latter, but then you might ask - how do i get there? You get there by changing how you think about doing your best in everything important in your life right now. Clearly, your academics need a lot of your DEDICATED attention, so make that your #1 priority. Put all the smaller things in life on hold for now, and find people to help you with this. Just like you'd come to this site to become better at certain things, go to professionals and people with a lot of field experience in making lifestyle changes. Without a shift in how you think abd approach your life right now, all you'll be doing is putting a bandaid in your exam situation, and making the same mistakes next year, and the year after that, in other venues of life. Get your shit together man, this is the best time to do that. |
