| Post subject: | How should a PUA drive. |
This may seem like a stupid question but bear with me... If you are seeing/dating a girl odds are you are going to have to drive to places with her from time to time. I am natural revhead with a fast car, and I LOVE to drive fast, music up, the whole deal..... but I get that isn't going to win me any value with a HB in the car. I am generally a much politer more laid back driver with anyone other than one of my best friends in the car. Anyway, I want to ask how a PUA should present himself behind the wheel? Assertive? Laid back? Maniacal (joke)?..... It seems like the sort of thing that could damage comfort and destroy value pretty quickly if done incorrectly. What do you all think? |

Look there are a few ways that I would answer this. You could taper your driving depending on the style of chick in the car. Before getting her in the car, when you guys are chatting up you could basically get the proper information on what type of driving she finds fun or if she shys away from the aggressive wanna be bad ass who puts her life at risk. Its always relative man and if you want to taper even your driving, then you are going to have to get the proper information. For mer personally, I don't normally fly down the road but I do like to pass the speed limit a bit. I've always got that air of "this is who I am, like it or leave it" from the first moments and i think thats what seems to drive them nuts about me. My main girl said this once that one of the "boys" that she was tapping turned her off because he was trying to act cool while they where driving and was going so fast that she thought she was going to die. Hope this helps D |

Er, safely...if not out of respect for your own life then at least for your passengers. How is driving fast DHV? Ive been cut out of a car after a 70 mph crash when someone else was driving, the energy of a crash is something you cannot imagine, it hits the whole of you body equally and you just have to sit there helpless waiting to see if you survive. Dont speed, drive your car safely and respect other road users. |

Always drive with safety and respect, even if the girl is egging you on to max out your hot car. Maybe give her a little jolt to get the heart rate up if you're still in A2-3 but once you're in Comfort she needs to see that you're safe and not going to kill the both of you in a fiery crash. |

I was never suggesting that driving safely is a DHV,but I would have thought that driving like a complete pussy would definately be a DLV. I too have been in a fairly sevre car accident (when I was 10) and I carry that with me every time I get behind the wheel. Please don't get me wrong I love driving fast and there is nothing that I enjoy more than a late night cruise on a winding mountain road BUT I am not an idiot. I stick within a reasonable distance of the speed limit and put an enormours amount of consideration of where, when and with who I drive fast. I am a genuine guy with a concience and I couldn't live with myself if my driving hurt someone.Quote: Always drive with safety and respect, even if the girl is egging you on to max out your hot car. I'll say this straight - if I was on a date with a guy and he drove me home and drove stupidly - I would say goodbye - no matter now good the date was. I can usually spot if a person is not a laid back driver - they will keep well within the speed limit, but will rush foward when the light goes green, approach a crossroad with a bit too much enthusiasm, or will tailgate other drivers far too closely. I have almost been run over twice this week - once by someone who went though a red traffic light when the green man pedestrian light was showing, and the other time by someone who wasn't looking where they were going. I live in a very student populated area - 80% of the population in this part of town is under 30 years old. Every time me and my friend saw a guy speeding past with his windows down and his music blaring we used to laugh - it just looks so lame and is like they're desperate to appear cool. It's what teenagers do. I don't find it cool, impressive, or sexy - in fact it's quite comical like I said. It will vary from person to person, and I guess you could change it from date to date if you wanted to. My advice would be to tone it down in general. |

Sounds like you need to look more closely before you cross the streetv But seriously I get where you are coming from. When I drive fast I do it for me, becaue I enjoy it. I don't even do it with my friends in the car - so there is no way I am going to do it with a date. That being said I would have thought confidence and being assertive (though not aggressive) behind the wheel would have gone a long way. |
