Other than working out I basically have nothing, I nothing really jumps out at me. I can't think of a thing. Wouldn't mind learning something new but at the same time can't think of anything. I work out 3 times per week but thats about it. Need another weekly hobby. Any suggestions? (p.s. I'd imagine this is a thread topic thats came up before so I did a forum search on "hobbies" but nothing even closely resembling that came up, sorry). |

Try getting into some type of martial arts, could spend the money you use for the gym on learning muay thai, jujitsu and the like while still getting a full body workout. |

I'm quite keen on the gym, all part of my "peacocking" plan lol. I've considered marial arts (I did karate for years) thanks for the suggestions. Probably looking for another route.Anyone else? |

I was in exactly the same situation over a year ago. My life has really changed dramatically since then. i've become a far more interesting person to meet because of what i do and that of course is what girls like. for me at one time i was going to invest all of the money i had saved into buying a bmw not really very interesting is it if a girl says: 'what do you like doing/ get up to' me: 'well i've got a bmw...' so this past year i've done sky diving going to do some aff levels scuba diving mountain climbing (good workout) abseiling motorbike license also on a university course gym now i know alot of these involve spending alot of money hopefully you work but its out of the ordinary and makes you different to most guys which is definately a good thing! but if you're on a tight budget then just join normal clubs like said martial arts, boxing shows you can look after yourself. You could learn salsa dancing or something similar say. A pua i knew done this met loads of women plus when you can dance well another + point or if you want to do something different would be fairly expensive to buy at first but free there after and not the norm, get into mountain biking |

i do mix martial arts and i would say brazilian jiu jitsu is definitely the best, u use every muscle in the body, and get ripped as shit while having fun.. almost all bjj guys are nice.. plus u can submit people in seconds on the street without even thinking about it... but salsa dancing? i would want to get in that, that will help u get laid |

I looked at this thread the other day and I thought to myself what else do I do to meet people? What else do I do that makes me interesting? And I couldn't really think of anything. The only things that I really do are Karate, Muay Thai, BJJ, Poker and College. Apart from that I don't really have any more hobbies or interesting things going on (apart from learning PU but I don't usually bring that up with people). So I looked at this thread and decided I'm going to write down at least 5 to 10 things I want to do and then go and do them (kinda like in that film "The Bucket List"). Heres my 10: 1. Ballroom Dance Classes - Tango, Foxtrot, salsa etc 2. Rock Climbing Classes - Indoor or Outdoor 3. Relearn Violin - I used to play years ago but gave it up cause I was naive 4. Do More Snowboarding - Been snowboarding in America twice and Spain. Loved it a lot so want to do more of it. 5. Skydiving - Just love the idea of doing this 6. Go work in a wildlife reserve in africa - Found a great site that offers placements for stuff like this 7. Go to Canada and stay for 3 months+ with my relatives - decided by the end of 2010 Im going 8. Go to Vegas - Going for my 21st in 2010 9. Scuba diving - Just seems really cool 10. Pass my college course and maybe go on to Uni Well I'm going indoor rock climbing next friday for a 1 1/2 hour beginners class. I've found a couple of ballroom dancing classes to try out and getting my vegas trip booked asap. Still got a few more things to do and I still want more ideas to put on my list. But I'm glad I found this thread and that it made me do this. |

Set up a saltwater reef aquarium. Completely awesome thing to tell a girl "come see my reef". Good DHV: shows you have a bit of cash, and can nurture and provide. |

Doesn't your gym offer some free classes? My gym has all kinds of free classes like Pilate, Yoga, Kick-boxing, etc. Just try them out. You might be amazed at how well it will work you out and the plus side is that there are many girls in those classes. If you like it, then stick to it. You don't have to spend a ton of money on a new hobby. Just try something new and see if you like it. Many responses here are pretty good. The key thing here is to maintain an active lifestyle. Write down a bucket list and start working on it. In time you will start to realize how far you have gotten. I use to be the guy that wouldn't try anything outside of my comfort zone, now I'm open to trying all kinds of new activities. And girls dig that. Cheers, J-Dub |
