Post subject:  Hygiene VS Attraction Features (REAL dating-science)

Was going to reply to a post with this but my ego is telling me you guys need enlightening

Basically, there is a theory called Two-Factor Theory
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motivator-Hygiene_theory

What is says is that the thing that motivate someone to do something are different from the factors that de-motivate them and make them unsatisfied (in the case of the study it was motivation at work).

So how does this relate to game?
Basically doing things like making sure your breath is fresh, your fingernails are short and clean, your cloths are clean and well fitting, are NOT going to make a girl attracted to you, but if you don’t do all these things you are going to put girls off. So get the basics up to scratch and put your effort into what attract women.

“No s***” I hear you saying. Clearly, but there is a good lesson here:

* There is only so much you should pay to certain aspects of your look.

* Where it is good to have a hair cut often, there is no point wasting time getting it cut every week.

* Your nails need to be neat and tidy, no girl is going to date you because you have manicure once a week.

* Get all the hygiene factors up to an acceptable level, then start putting the effort into those factors which cause attraction.

I generally agree with everything there except for:

Hell with getting a haircut. As long as its clean and well groomed you should be good to go.

I agree with this. It's the law of diminishing returns. You brush your teeth once in the morning when you wake up; brushing your teeth a second time ten minutes after the first brushing is only going to get your teeth marginally cleaner. It seems like common sense but some guys obsess over certian areas they lose track of others.
