Post subject:  PUA playlist (DHV)?

can anyone recommend a list of songs that are good to play in general social situations to DHV and entertain girls? I'm not asking for music to get them in the mood, but rather to make me appear cool and socially intelligent to them.

p.s. this is for a dorm room, to help make my room more of a social hub

Most girls like upbeat tunes so check these out. I think these LPs would exhibit good taste and are enjoyable all the way through. Full albums are a hell of a lot more memorable than a mix tape.

Common "Be"
Ghostface Killah "Fishscale"
Jurassic 5 "Power in Numbers"

I'd go European and research UK bands that fit in with the vibe you are trying to create, it will make you seem rather knowledgeable. I could give you pointers but I'm not sure who you like band wise over in the US.

A dorm room eh? Wherever you are, the easiest way to find out is to go to a club, and listen to the music. Most dj's try to keep up with what's popular and pleases the most people. Just get a friend in there to help you get some of the names if you don't recognize all of the songs. Also, just look up the top 40 tracks of the season, most radio stations, billboard, etc do that stuff, so it's a good way to find out what's hot. Of course, i would just suggest listening to what you like, unless you are into ICP or some crap, lol. That does NOT have a mass appeal, even in a dorm situation.

Yo okay so if she digs the bossa, the best album ever and one I've had alot of success with is called "Getz/Gilberto" and its super old school if you can tell she's cool with that.

Basically you put in some bands/songs she likes into the search criteria and it will find all the songs/bands that sound the same etc etc and it'll play it as a online radio.

Post subject:  Best PUA Songs - Top 2

1) Lil Wayne - Pussy Monster

Just highlights the best attitude to have toward the woman because we all know that you have to have the same attitude toward her when fucking is approaching through the next morning after fucking, and that’s where so many guys go wrong is that they let their attitude toward her change too much as sex approaches.

2) Trillville - Some Cut

Just an overall great song about sex. Again, this sounds like a PUA’s theory I’ve read about before (I can’t remember his name), but you need to create and keep that same sexual state from Now to After sex.

LCD Soundsystem
Cut Copy
Hot Chip
!!! (chik chik chik)
Hot Hot Heat
Calvin Harris
Jupiter One
Phoenix
Discovery
Ra Ra Riot
TV on the Radio

I just kinda used this as an excuse to recommend some stuff I like. Some of it's european and it'll give you some more indie/alternative cred than blasting the new Lil Wayne album or something gay like that.

If you actually want to put something on which shows your sensitive side, say late at night when you take a girl back "to listen to some cool songs" I would highly recommend:

Jose Gonzalez
Bon Iver
Joe Purdy
Alexi Murdoch

if you can actually learn to play any songs by those guys on the guitar and sing em to her, those panties will slide off like they've been buttered my friend

This thread can't possibly turn into anything other than 'What music do you like?'. Also, are you really asking us to tell you what music to like?

Also, I will add that

only applies if your 14 years old.

You've got equipment that can channel like 10 gazillion music tracks, a billion films and just about every popular TV show ever created straight in front of you in minutes, often for free. Go and explore. Liking a certain track isn't sexy - being the guy with the open mind who leads others is.

Example; while I was typing this, Last.fm has just introduced me to a track by some unknown called Beans on Toast, track name 'Braintree'. Never heard of them before but if any other tracks out there are that good - bought.

When in doubt, internet radio. I prefer Slacker Radio because I like their idea of what artists go best together. You can change it up as the mood changes, and dont have to worry about DJing if your not comfortable with that.

OR

Get tons of music, learn to love everything, and actually learn how to direct a nights energy through playing a fun and eclectic combination of music.

Either way if you do it right you create a social SPAM where nobody is paying attention to the music anyways.

The Hot Chip album "Made in the Dark" is romantic.
