Are there any good open source database programs for managing phone numbers, names, emails and type of relationships? I have in the past lost a lot of numbers from Simm card crashes, so I don't view phones as that reliable. |

I like that thinking! 2 weeks is fast! Although how secure would an online based addressbook be? And could you access the addressbook where there is no internet access? http://www.corvalis.net/address/ (mysql based) and openoffice.org (great program alltogether but the database might work.) Addressbook, phonebook, organizer are different names for this type of software I believe. Although one built straight up for PUA sounds really cool. |

A few more programs These are freeware so not really open source. http://www.rooksoft.com/ I believe you can store a photo with each entry. http://planet-denn.com/ PD Base has a really nice interface although the daily buy me thing might be annoying. http://www.vani.be/contactkeeper/ Keeps track of birthdays. It might be cool to link facebook or myspace pages to information as well. So you can sort of remember who your talking too. |
