I rock climb, it will give you a weird body type but it is great fun. By weird body type I mean you won't have big flashy muscles like you would with boxing, instead you will have dense compact muscle. So your strength will probably be the same with either. If you live near the sea surfing is always awesome too. |

Start climbing bro, awesome work out. Also consider a martial art to complement the upper body you'll get from the climbing. Karate is a favourite or Jujitsu if you like a little rough and tumble |

Rock Climbing all out! Ive climbed competatively for a couple years and though muscle mass isnt noticable, i know that im stronger than most guys around and the sport itself actually helps immensly with inner game. This is the kind of independent sport you do for yourself and no one else. |

Well if you're in college and really do have a lot of down time, why not join both? Both alter different physical properties and I'm sure you'll meet some cool people doing it too. |

Rock climbing is a great upper body workout, and boxing needs dedication but really helps build endurance and agility. I'd probably go with the rock climbing, I'd imagine women would find it more interesting and offers a great topic. |

I'd personally rock climb, it's more of a fun, loose, interesting, self oriented thing, as opposed to boxing which might seem macho, typical and violent (in the eyes of chicks). I personally prefer eastern martial arts. |

Why not both so you have TWO interesting tidbits about you instead of one? |

Pros: Boxing: You get confident about your ability to hit hard, if needed... you probably get better endurance.... The girls will probably feel safe with you around, physical safety... good thing. Rock Climbing: You get a naturally toned body, It can be done outside, in nature. You don't risk getting the broken nose or cauliflower ears, that you may get from boxing. Make a list of pros and cons, and weigh them up. You can bring chicks to both things, boxing has more direct kino involved. the main advantage of Climbing over Boxing, in my opinion is that it can be brought outside, and that you get a nicer body from it. Boxing has the possibility of seriously messed up facial figures. Broken Nose, Pink-eyes, broken skin and scars. In climbing you'll get tougher skin on your hands, and a much firmer grip... I would go with the climbing, no contest. Then perhaps take up a martial art on the side. Cheers |

I've been climbing for years...good fun. Bouldering is good for meeting friends and just chillin out in the woods and getting strong. Sport and Trad climbing build a big brass pair and are good for endurance and stuff. Climbing has a good scene around it, and there are also usually some Hb's around the crag to open up sets with. Climbing doesn't do much for pecs and stuff, though, so make sure you supplement with some pushing exercises if you are looking for body tone. Climbing tends to give you rough calloused hands and the occasional scabs on the legs and arms. Boxing tends to scar and callous your face (look at Mickey Rourke). |
