I have been an amateur astronomer for many years and would like to report on how potent it is with women. As women are emotional/spiritual beings, being able to explain and then observe the majesty of the universe through a telescope is very powerful. It assists you in two ways. The first is in order to see great views you must go to a dark site and allow your eyes to adjust to the darkness. This widens your pupils which, if you read any body language book will tell you, provides a more seductive look when you gaze into hers. It assists in isolation as you are the only two alone in a field making her more amenable to sex. The second is it DHV spikes you as an intelligent man with depth. If you're a jock and take her to a park to observe the stars, she realizes "there's a lot more to this man than I thought." Also in a social setting friends will social proof you as alpha by showing them a good time seeing the stars - they will always have a million questions and being able to answer them denotes authority. Even going to a planetarium will illicit similar responses. Best, Jackstay |

Interesting, I've always been fascinated with the stars but never really studied astronomy. Thanks for rekindling my interest, I may look more into it. I wouldn't recommend taking up a hobby that you don't thoroughly enjoy just to pick up girls. However, I did learn how to dance for the purpose of meeting women and now I love dancing for dancing's sake. |

I completely agree. Women will always discover if you are being disingenuous about a hobby or anything - They're human bullshit meters. But astronomy is a great hobby to get into as it is relatively cheap and makes a man humble at the scale of the universe. You get to learn a bit of science along the way and even when you are not with a telescope but up at a cottage, being able to point out stars and galaxies and explain them to friends, not only improves your game, but exposes them to something deeper than people magazine. That's very interesting, because I always thought astronomy was a real geek subject that denoted a guy who was introverted and had little success with women. I was interested in astronomy when I was a child. Indeed I am still interested in it now, taking an interest in things like the International Space Station etc. My question is how do I meet women in this way? 10 years ago I went to an evening class in introductory astronomy at a local college, and there was only one woman there, and she was not attractive. Also at any time other than the summer, it is going to be quite cold out in a field at night - not conducive to seduction surely? Is it good to add an interest in astronomy to an online dating profile? |

You don't meet women this way - unless you're enrolled in an astrophysics class - you employ it as another interesting facet to your life. I'm not sure how you would be able to sell it on a dating website as I don't sarge through that medium. Astronomy does have it's cold nights, but women love to get bundled up and have a cup of hot chocolate. If it gets too cold, you can always run back inside and have a great conversation about what you just saw on the couch by candle light with a glass of wine. Makes it more of an event. It's important not to use amateur astronomy as something to get women but something you genuinely enjoy doing. It is a reward in and of itself which has the added bonus of making you an intellectual man with depth and intrigue - "What other sides are there to this guy?"I was interested in astronomy when I was a child. Something that falls into this category, it can be hard to time, but if you pull it off, you're golden. cool things to look out for in the sky are: Iridium Flares (group of communication satellites) ISS Using a free app like sputnik on the iphone, you can geo-locate yourself and it will say when and where to look for the bright flash you see from the solar panels on the ISS or Iridium Satellites. They look like slower moving shooting stars, but if you are outside and able to time it right and tell a HB to look "over there" just as you see the flash and shooting star. |
