Post subject:  Using "Guiding Principles" To Increase Your Income

While listening to David Allen's seminar called, Getting Things Done Fast, he mentions "Guiding Principles" for whatever project may be at hand. To discover your guiding principles, he says to complete this sentence, "I would give full freedom to any person to do this, as long as..." and then he gives examples like:
  • * Staying within budget
    * Make it beautiful
    * Consider the customer first
    * Deepen the relationship
    * Get more sales
    * Be nice
    * Make it funny
Paraphrasing slightly here.

Well, I was thinking about this in regards to money and sex. Why not apply it to such? For example, "I would give full freedom..." becomes "Any woman will have sex with me, as long as..." or "People will pay me $1,000,000 as long as..."

If you fill that sentence, you'll get some interesting ideas on where best to improve yourself in order to make these things happen. Here are my answers, by the way:

People will pay me $1,000,000 as long as...
  • * It fits their budget
    * They feel safe and secure
    * They get a major pain resolved
    * They feel progress in their decision
    * They feel like they're part of a tribe that elevates their status
    * Their genetic survival is ensured
    * They see that it's the most certain of all options available (including KEEPING their money)
    * They've seen it through
    * They feel connected with me and
    * They're in an acquisitive state
    * They don't anchor negative feelings to me... but perhaps to other prevalent options
    * They anchor powerful feelings with me...
Any woman will have sex with me as long as...
  • * I'm preselected by other women
    * They feel safe with me
    * I'm true to myself
    * It's fine by their repeated belief systems
    * They feel that they're growing with me
    * They're not insecure with me
    * They feel that they'll gain status by being with me by doing so
    * They won't lose status (i.e. be called a slut)
    * They feel connected
    * They won't be abandoned
    * Their personal survival is ensured
    * They feel it's "meant to be"
    * They're in a horny state
Consider dropping a reply on this, if you would :) Really helps to get feedback on these thoughts.

Yours truly,

Aaron

I feel like a lot of things can be applied.

I was reading this book called "Think and Grow Rich". It's pretty goal themed. Like doing whatever you can to make X amount of money. The same principles can be applied to being good at picking up women.

The main points it emphasizes are desire, faith, persistence, and a lot more, but those stood out the most to me.

You're 100% right. This book is awesome.

How specifically do you think it can be applied? I'm curious about your thoughts.

P.S. Can I suggest an idea for really applying Think & Grow Rich? It involves its concept of auto-suggestion. If you'll let me give you an idea, then read the next paragraph.

One form of auto-suggestion, too, is listening to a book you believe in (like Think and Grow Rich) in audiobook form. Many highly valuable books like Think and Grow Rich are available for free on YouTube and various sites like Google. I tell people often that I never hired a VA (virtual assistant) until I LISTENED to The 4-Hour Workweek (which I read four times).

Such is the power of auto-suggestion/suggestion.

Here's the post, if you want, by Seth Godin that let me in on the audiobook secret: "Can an audiobook change your life?" (Seth Godin).
