Hey guys, I had a women round recently and just felt embarrassed by my room, its a shrine to immaturity. It has never caused me any problems but I just feel its time to move along, especially if I want to be scoring top quality women. I still live with my mother and moving out isnt really an option, not with my wage and my spending habits so I need to make the best of it. There are no FF7 or Maxim posters on the walls but ive got a collection of like 40 model planes, Jack Daniels memorabilia, Anon mask and other shit: if pictures are needed ill add them later. As a prerequisite to getting help I should tell you that my house is pretty crappy as a whole, its really clean because my mother is anal about that (save the jokes With the above in mind I want my room to bring my "status" back up (as I write this it sounds ridiculous to me but its still a thing). Now I am not expecting interior design tips here, just some thought on what women might be expecting/want when they enter your bedroom. All ideas are welcome and greatly appreciated |

It's in your mom's house, so there's a limit to how DHV you can make it. I'd first clean up your room. Make it look really tidy. Then when you get the girl back there, tell her that you're never home and you never spend any time in your room. This indicates that you are a social guy who's out and about all the time. That being said, get rid of all the immature stuff. Get some boxes and just start tossing shit in there. Get some prints of some artwork you like, like some Dali or Van Gogh paintings and put them up on the walls. Have some conversational pieces laying about, like things girls are interested in. Setup a small easel with a painting on it, even if you don't paint. She'll come in and be like "OMG, I didn't know you were an artist! This is cool!" Remember, you are just trying to give the illusion of class, prestige, character, and high value. You don't need to go overboard. Just clean your shit up, get rid of the goofy crap, and add some classy/interesting elements to your decor. |

To a large extent, I wouldn't worry too much about this - if you've got her back to your room she's probably already quite into you. So as long as it's not ridiculously messy and/or as long as you haven't got something like a collection of 100 cuddly toys on your bed, then chances are it won't make too much of a difference. My room is primarily functional with a few conversational pieces/momentos I've collected from travels dotted around. I'm a student, so I've got a desk in my room with book shelves above it. Dotted around I've got a tankard I got in Germany, a cricket ball I scored my first ever senior 100 with (the captain glossed it and put it on a stand as a congratulations present), a chess set that was hand carved by a bloke I met in the French alps, a coin sorter, and a collage picture on my desk with various photos of me and uni friends. I've got a fairly large TV - games console tucked away safely in the top drawer, ie; she can't tell I'm a gamer nerd until she's gone and I open up the drawer haha! On the walls I've got a large clock, one print of Time Square on one wall, and a print of the New York skyline elongated on the wall above my bed. Other than that - nothing much else going on. It doesn't need to be spotless; "lived in" looking is ok, messy isn't. My car keys and my scarf are just chucked on the desk at this very moment in time, but there are no clothes on the floor or dirty dishes left laying around or anything like that. So really, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Too much going on looks like you spend too much time in there. Functional is always good for a man, in my opinion - let the girls have the frills, we'll just get the job done without a fuss! And one or two conversational items that can DHV such as stuff you got on travels, or achievements or things you're proud of etc. |
