Hi Everyone, I just got hired for a new job and I will be starting my new job in two days. I would like to know how should I innitiate conversations with my manager and new co-workers. what topics should we talk about? i would like to make a great first impression and get to know everyones names and how long they have been with the company. Also, I really want to get to know my manager on a professional level so I can progress up and higher into the company. Thanks everyone! |

My advice would be to be as polite and nice as you can be. If your nice and effecient at your job, people will like you and will try to make you feel welcome. Congratualtions and good luck |

The first week basically involves you getting to know your job and co-workers. I managed to differentiate myself on day 1 by going around the office and introducing myself to everyone. Based on what I've now seen after working there for a number of years, no one does this! Stand out from the crowd, make sure that everyone that you might work with knows who you are. |
