| Post subject: | Tips on how to set up the next 4 years of my life... |
Ok I'm 23 and start a PhD for the next 4 years in a new big city (Sheffield) where I know nobody. However it's worth noting that the first couple months of my course I'll be up and down the country doing random other courses so that will make it hard to 'set-up' so to speak. This is a great opportunity to reinvent myself and create a great new exciting lifestyle (not that my current one isn't enjoyable, but you can always improve). I'm quite confident, athletic and love trying new things, so I'm looking for tips of how to set myself up to evolve into a better me. Sort of advice I'm looking for is what societies/sports teams will allow me to meet the most exciting, cool and attractive people but also develop as a person...aka I want to stop meeting random shallow, immature girls in clubs, and it would be great to get out of my comfort zone of contact sports with just all guys. Ideas so far are drama socitey (never been in a play, and the idea makes me nervous, I'd like to work though that, also would expose me to a completely different set of people), yoga (nursing some knee tendon damage SPAM and it's been recommended by a physio). Any ideas or tips are appreciated. |

I cant agree more with your statement of meeting shallow immature girls in clubs I feel the exact same thing too And if your ever in newcastle hit me up I do dancing its pretty mixed but tbh doing day game near the university campus (newcastle uni) or city centre is pretty decent You meet some absolute stunning girls that are either in the university or going to work somewhere but it depends on alot of things eg your game, on how successful you will be Soncheese x |
