I want to ask this girl I out a while ago I told her I owed her a drink, but then she had to go away and she is back now. Is calling her up and being like hey I still owe you a drink and acceptable way of asking her out or is there a better way? |

Don't use this as your first conversation topic as it will seem as if your desperate to see her. Start the conversation differently, ask how she's been etc. before saying "oh, shit, i just remembered i owe you that drink! how does Wednesday sound?" or something along those lines as if meeting her was your last priority of the conversation. Try not to do it too soon on her arrival back as she may be tired and want to just settle for a week or so. Good Luck,

Just start all over again. Try to make an interesting conversation and then if you feel comfortable you can either lightly remind her of the "drink plans" or ask her directly. Just don't use the word "owe". It makes it sound like she did you a great favor and you feel like thanking her now. |
