You should not care how other people perceive you. If you knew that already there is a chance you would have some positive results. However, I will offer some suggestions, hence the reason for posting.
Firstly, a 2 person picture isnt a bad idea as it is potentially a DHV.
Secondly, you should be standing tall with your face at a neutral postion. Your chin should be neither up or down. Finally, it is your decision whether or not you should be smiling (assuming your taking my idc advice). On the other hand, smiling is a good thing as it shows you have a positive attitude/you are a happy person. Hopefully my response answered your question.
