Post subject:  My secret to success

First off, I don't know if this post belongs in natural game or inner game. I think both.
Many people have asked me why I do well with women, how I got my confidence. This is how:
All my social life (from middle school on) I was the cool guy. Not the holy shit, that guy is so cool I want to be just like him. Nonono I mean the guy who is quiet, shy, agreeable, and nice. The guy who is one of your friends and you like to hang out with him, but he NEVER pulls a girl. I had AA, I was scared to death to even text an attractive girl from school, whom I was friends with, asking if I should get my hair cut or not. Even that was awful. The furthest I had gone before being introduced to game was touching hands with a girl, when in retrospect I could have taken her outside and made out with her, but I was far too big of a pussy for that. All prior success was due to luck.
But one day I was "mentored" by my peer. he stressed the idea of being a MAN. This just wasn't me. I was the cool introspective guy, not a man, and I didn't want to be one either. I hate douche bag, muscly "men". But little did I know, this path would lead me to much more than any routine ever would.
It's the ideas, not the techniques that will make you better at game. So for a month I read about game online, talked to my mentor on aim, and rebuilt my self-image. I studied the Abundance Mentality, which is the idea that there are many fish in the sea. I learned to not give a fuck, to not care about rejection, losing, or criticism. I was my own man. I strove to be my best self, at all times. I internalized the idea that "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take" - Wayne Gretzky. I came to believe that I could become anyone that I wanted. I could do anything if I put my mind to it.
Growing up with two sisters who I adored, I understood women to a certain degree. Don't get me wrong, I couldn't attract them, but I could understand their social mindsets. That helped me to pick out the very best posts of what I read online and ignore all the bullshit. So here are the most important men who changed my life for the better, made me more confident, and helped build me into a learned-natural/alpha male.
Braddock, of Love Systems - For so many things
Cajun, also of Love Systems, his body language posts helped me tremendously
Juggler - natural game at its best, conversational jujitsu.
AFC Adam - another natural style instructor, I recommend his book. His ideas on pre-selection are classic.
Gambler - for teaching English game, which is much more natural and welcomed
And others such as: Soul, Badboy, Seductionbase.com, Bristollair.com, GM method, Gunwitch, Sean Messenger, The video compilation of Ultimate Natural Game, MM, Style, and Tucker Max.
Tucker Max, a natural, breaking down his game http://www.tuckermax.com/archives/entri ... .phtml#934

Braddock's Inner Game http://www.theattractionforums.com/brad ... -game.html
When I finally did go into the field, I at first did crash and burn a few times. But I adopted a new phrase, Burn and Learn.

This is my thesis of Game. Almost everything you need to have to succeed with women is INNER GAME. If you betray your manhood, instinct, and desires, you have set yourself up to fail.

great read buddy, i'm glad people are actually going out with material or nothing at all and applying all the aspects acquired from reading to develop their own personal style. the best way really is to "crash, burn and learn," women dont bite(well besides the kinky ones).

good post bro, especially the links. Tucker's take on The Game is quite interesting to read. Coming from someone like him really helped me understand the book further.

Shadow, man you F*n nailed it. I have been reading all this stuff about approaches, lines, and other things but when it comes down to it I have always been some what of a natural, and those things never felt right. I have found that it is better to be yourself, but with some of the attributes changed for the better. Props bro.

I agree with this as well. Ive aways considered myself somewhat of a natural, but theres been aspects of my game I still need to improve, so ive been reading everything about pick up I can get my hands on.
So last night im out with friends and ready to implment my new found knowledge. My friends were drinking for a while but I just got into the bar when my mate talks to 3 girls and introduces them to me then walks off. So they are 3 hot American girls and normally I would be in my element, but all of a sudden my brain freezes, my conversation becomes all stuttered and I get really conscious of myself. Im trying to remeber all the things Ive been reading and all the stages I should be going through etc. and this just caused me to lose fluidity and totally fail! They seemed interested, 2 of the 3 were giving me IOIs but I couldnt get get it together and just ended up making an excuse to go to the bathroom, just to get out of there!!!
Before, I wasnt conscious of the things I was doing when gaming a girl, but now because Ive over analysed it and studied all the rigid pua techniques so much its made me more aware of the good and bad things im doing and had a negative effect on my game. I don't want to sound like im criticizing PUA tecniques because I think they are great. But I do believe that people should consider the type of game they are going to implement and how thy will react to it.
Natural game is the way to go in my opinion, especially if your inclined to over analyse situations. Now I need to regain mine and then work on it in that direction!!!

I share a very similar mindset to you on this one Shadow. I've been really looking for stuff on inner game and using those qualities that come natural to yourself.
I think I'll have to take a look at some of the material you've shared.

I think the routine methods and techniques are mainly for people who have no real inner/natural good social qualities. Now while they can become picked up/acquired through life, some people wont have that luck, or it may not happen for them, and thats who I think the structured routine methods are for. Though saying this, if you are more of a natural/inner game type person, the structured routines can be good to hold loosely in the back of your mind.
