| Post subject: | Deeper Voice in 5 Minutes |
Girls like guys who speak with authority. And no matter what your voice sounds like now, you can make it sound deeper, and cooler, and therefore sexier, without faking a thing. Here's a trick i learned doing Shakespeare in the Park (where you really have to project): Practice inhaling into your belly when you breathe. it's a meditation technique. you breathe all the way down to your belly, pushing your belly out and down. this get more air into the lowest parts of your lungs, and gives you more air to work with when you talk, AND relaxes the muscles around your vocal cords so you have a deeper resonance to your voice. Ever heard singers talking about singing from the diaphragm? this is how you do it. |

This is 100% true. I am a singer myself and I can confirm that it makes a great difference. Additionally, when you are speaking try to move your belly in while at the same time speak in the front of your mouth, if you can do this without increasing volume your voice will have a stronger impact. Great post Sean! |

Haha. I can already go deeper than Robert on Everybody Loves Raymond without even trying. |

here's another tip. breathe that way... then sing along to any of the Chef songs from South Park. I personally like Tonight is Right for Love with Meredith Baxter-Birney. |

Thanks for the tip. I sing too and I know about this technique, but I'm not sure if I use it when I TALK too. I'll pay more attention. |
