Post subject:  Is it normal?

Hi guys, I am wondering if this happens to anyone else. I have started working on my skill with women only about a month ago and I felt I was progressing a bit, but then I kind of hit a slump and fell back to where I was when I started. My luck this past week has been really crap. Is this normal in the learning process?

Yes, it is normal. This is what separates the men and the boys. It is the same for business, there is always going to be quick dip that will make you doubt yourself and mess up your head. Get through it. This works

I remember, the bootcamp i 1st went on, they offered a refund until 24 hours before the bootcamp, i went solo the night before and felt really shit and depressed and was really close to going home and claiming my refund. Glad I didn't, it was an experience full of ups and downs. Fast forward 7 years later here I am, involved intimately with several awesome women, travelling the world etc - my life is changed, i was pretty much a virgin and now it's rare I don't go home with a girl from a night club.

Don't give up. Find some friends that are on the same path, this is important and help each other. Don't be ashamed to meet people on forums, some of my best friends are from this PU stuff.

This works bro, trust me. It is introduced me to working on other areas of my life, wealth and health which all syndicate and boost each other.

Yeah, I ended up in a slump a few times this year. I think that this is something that should be addressed more on this forum. What PEBBLE says is spot on, you just got to push through it.

By the way, No-fap and PUA go hand in hand. You will feel much more motivated if you aren't fapping it (I've noticed this with myself and in case you haven't noticed I relapsed recently).

It is normal in any thing that you do. There are winters and summers in any human endeavor.

The key like the guys above are saying is to push through it, it's the only way.

With some guys it may be advantageous to go with 'minimal fap' instead of nofap, like 1x/week or something.

Totally normal. Aim for progress, not perfection. Each time you go out and practice, you improve on some level.

Hey Stallionn

Short answer: Yes, it's normal.

Long answer: Your question stems from your fear of failure.

There are only two emotions in the universe - love and fear. Hatred, anxiety, depression, sorrow, pain etc all come from fear. Enthusiasm, passion, livelihood, will, vigor, purity all come from love. Right now you've trapped yourself in the wrong emotions. I've known some men who use fear as a motivator, but in my experience they tend to be angry and tense all the time, like there's a dark cloud hovering over their heads at all times. There's an easier way!

Love, always love.
It's the secret to motivation.

I remember taking out a client a few years back. After spending a day talking to strangers he said he felt great, like the anxiety was barely there anymore. Then he asked something I'll never forget. He asked "Do I have to start all over again tomorrow?"

Yes. Because that anxiety never goes away entirely (unless you achieve enlightenment, which happens). Don't slump your shoulders and hang your head in defeat though. That's good news! The reason the greats can walk into a club and get their ass handed to them by the hottest women in the world and keep it up over and over again until they pull, is because they have true love. Love of women, love of the process, love of life itself!

Love is what keeps you going. I love doing this! I love speaking to beautiful women! I love helping men achieve their dreams! I love living life, enriching myself by discovering my passions and building my future.

Shift your focus onto love - don't try to one up the process by skipping a few steps. Take the pain, take all of it like a man, and smile at it lovingly. You're embarking on the most incredible, adventurous and rewarding journey few men ever dream of.

Love my friend, that's all there is to it.
Mack

Thanks Mack for the tip! That has to be one of the most enlightening things I've read! Are there any books or videos on this subject matter that I can check out? Besides going out and just hammering the game and getting myself out there, I could use some great uplifting material like this to check out!

No bro, you just gotta quit completely. Would you rather smoke twice a day or not at all?

Note: I'm trying to quit, I know that it's hard.

Hey there Stallionn,

In regards to your question, it is actually very normal to sometimes feel like you've hit a wall in terms of progress. It's even normal to sometimes feel like you've moved several steps in the backward direction. It happens to people from all walks of life. Happens to athletes, salesman, businessman, pickup artists, etc.

The important thing here is to understand that once you hit a certain skill level, it stops being ONLY about how good you are at whatever skill you're focusing on. It now also includes your emotional state (or frame) during that certain situation. It doesn't matter that the night before you were on fire (hopefully not literally) and you rocked the place. Today is a new day and you gotta once again start by lighting the match.

Over time however, getting your inner fire started becomes easier and easier. And even then, there will still be nights where your inner voice is trying to keep you from taking action. However by this point, you'll have so many 'wins' under your belt that you can use as a solid reminder of how high value and fun to be around you really are.

This inner battle will never go away since it's programmed into every person on earth. However, once you accept it, you'll be able to tame it. And thus act in despite of fear.

I could go on and on for hours on this subject but I hope this answer more or less covers what you were looking for.

As for suggested readings:
1) Outwitting the Devil by Napoleon Hill: Talks about the most common fears of individuals as well as that of society. And more importantly, it explains how to deal with the inner voice in your head that's constantly tries to sabotage you and keep you from taking action.

2) Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell: Explains how any skill or craft you're willing to master will take up roughly 10,000 hours. In other words, pick anything you want to be an expert at, and invest that much time and you WILL (whether you want to or not) be an expert in that skill.

3) What to Say When You Talk to Yourself by Shad Helmstetter: A powerful book to understand yourself better and have more control on your thoughts. It has a lot of practical exercises that will shed light on how your own thoughts and self talk are impacting your life.

Hope this helps 8)

This thread has digressed a bit and turned into a no fap zone

I progressed and I still masturbate as much as I can and doesn't effect my ability with women

I should watch more amateur porn though so make it more realistic with girls
