| Post subject: | PUA may be useless - it's only an "instrument" |
hello everyone, i have been a major lurker in this forum for what seems to be years now. I have decided to post now because i think i reached a likely "end" of my pua journey. And i'm gonna tell you what it is. But be warned: english is not my first language Also, I think that this is the best section to post such things. If it isn't, my apologies. So, let's trackback quickly to a few years ago. i'm not gonna talk about the afcness and all that stuff. Just... I found out about pua via a good friend of mine. I was very excited and started documeting about it since then. Don't get me wrong, it has not been, by any means, something continuos: I had periods of "on" pua mode, and many more in which this status was on "off". However, i reached a somewhat high level in pua theory. I had some success with women, and started noting pick up related stuff on my own. I'm no expert, but surely i am very competent. As the majority of you should have understood, pua is (also) an instrument, a tool through which one can analyze situations better. you know, understand people's characters, or why someone responded in a certain way, and so on. And, most importantly, it's a device to introspection. Now, why is it all useless? Because natural innately know what we study, and this is something that everyone here understands. Gentlemen, here's the catch: some of these naturals were, and are, some extraordinary writers. the characters and the situations in their books are just what we are looking for: easy, situational learning. And many - MANY - benefits follow: better vocabulary, culture expansion, enjoyable stories - fuck me, you name, it's there. all from reading novels. Let's make a strong example: Hemingway. Has anyone one of you read any of his short novels? They are 49 in total, and each and every one of them has at least one alpha in it. And usually, they get in relatable situations too. I'm not saying they are 100% real and plausible, but they are at the very least relatable. It's his lifestyle, and it's a very masculine one, a "overly manly man" like. And we can all agree that while Brad P. is a very good teacher (i'm using him as an example because he's all about your character and your value; but you can insert the guru of your preference), Hemingway is a giant of literature: he had a unique understanding of life and man nature, and he wrote thousands of beautiful words about it. There are many, many other authors and books from which we can learn pua-related stuff, they won't fit in the page. i just glanced at my bookshelf for a couple of seconds, and i can tell you already a few names: tolstoj, Mccarthy, Bukowski, Nabokov. They all are superb authors, and they all wrote life in different forms and shapes. they're there, and they wait eagerly for you to read them, to learn from them what life, pick up, alphaness, and pretty much every aspect of game is about. AND SO MUCH MORE. Now, what is pua good for? as i said, it's a tool. it serves as a catalyst for your mind. I think you have noted this, and i wrote about it earlier: it tells you where to look at in certain situations, and how to look at it. It unravels the path to knowledge of human behavior, and pua it's the device but not the source. Because technically, what pua is about is human psycholohy 101, it just tells you the bits you are interested in, and to be honest not even that. It's the tutorial, you can say: it teaches you how to learn the game. And you will learn game from masterpiece books. as of now, it's the only reason i can see to study pua. To train to focus your mind on certain aspects, and to elaborate them. This is my take on pua. I am immensly interested in your opinion. Thanks for reading gentlemen. |
