Long story but something changed me a few weeks ago and I consider myself an alpha male now. At work (lots of random customers) I get the chance to practice lots of communicating. I teased a girl that's 5-10+ years older than me and made her laugh, it made me feel great to make a beautiful girl laugh.

My question is if I feel like an alpha male in public does it make it alot easier to be a PUA?

Hate to burst your bubble, but you do not become an alpha male at the flick of a switch. It is a gradual shift which ideally takes months, perhaps years, as ingraining new behaviour patterns, traits, and thought processes takes time. Put simply, you can't teach a dog to backflip on the first try.

Speaking of which, i've heard and know of most guys going through the natural phases on their journey to becoming an alpha, including myself. I thought I was an alpha a month into discovering the community, when I look back, oh how wrong I was.

1: Guys initially learn of alpha male traits/behaviours, overcompensate for beta behaviour, are overly loud/try to give off advice and prove they are dominant. They require validation, and are constantly qualifying themselves. In short, they know what an alpha male is, attempt to PORTRAY the behaviours and characteristics, but it's fake and unnatural. They are aware their of their beta-ness, and attempt at all costs to communicate the opposite qualities, acting tough, spreading arms all over an armchair, and forcing their presence in an artificial manner.

2: Guys are a little while into their journey. Their behaviour and mannerisms etc have shifted. Beta behaviour and characteristics have been largely corrected. At this point they still feel the need to prove they are an alpha male, are still overly outspoken, overly confrontational, and still don't come off as totally genuine. That being said they are more dominant, hold themselves better, and have more of a presence about themselves.

3: Guys are a while into their journey. Everything about them front the way they talk to the way they move screams alpha. They truly do not care what others think of them, with no need, as people are aware without even spoken word they are an alpha. At this point these guys have an aura and presence about them, passively commanding respect that almost works on their behalf, with little to no effort, people respond to THEM. At this stage, guys can walk along a footpath and folks move out of their way. They can walk through a door and have another guy hold it open for them. Men and women alike will be overly apologetic and grateful, and will in many ways follow your lead without your wish or desire.

Much of the PUA community insists being an alpha male is essential, as you can't build a home on shitty foundations. To answer your question, if you feel like an alpha male, that'll certainly give you a confidence spike and assist in PUA. However if you ARE an alpha male, you'll naturally without thinking have ideal eye-contact, body language, speech patterns and characteristics etc, all traits that are almost universally considered attractive by women.

Confidence is only one of the steps to become true alpha, but its one of the most essential ones to start with.
