while at work the other night(i'm a waiter) was helping a table of two, one pretty hot chick and presumably her mom. anyway, i brought them a salad and as I was grinding the pepper the hot chick asked "do you need help"? ( i wasent looking at her when she asked) which i thought was a strange question, I thought for a second and looked at her, smiled and then walked away. people always say weird shit and are usually talking to each other so its easier to just not say anything. anyway, like 5 mins later i went back to take something else to their table and she goes her: "oh, sorry about that, i didnt mean to give you a hard time" me: "what are you talking about" her: a couple minutes ago me: oh, i didnt hear what you said...... what did you say.... asked me if i needed help? she just smiles and says "nothing" and wont tell me, so i asked again, and then her mom goes, "i'll tell you" and her mom sayss, "she asked if you were single" (i'm 100% sure thats not what she said the 1st time) I smiled at her for awhile and then looked at mom and said " haha thats not what she said", and then continued onto next table. what would be the best way to proceed from here? i think my immediate response kinda sucked but it kinda caught me off guard. also, it was kind of a weird situation because although shes interested, i still have to wait on them and obv work for tips, also all my other tables around can hear everything because its like super close bar tops. best way to proceed? |

Answer the question and say "why do you ask?" in a flirty way. |
