| Post subject: | How do I be more dominant? |
Ok so im at a water park, and when I try to get the attention of all my friends they won't respond quickly. Like I'll have to say "hey guys" like twice or maybe 3 times before I have their attention. How do I be more dominant, and get everyones attention when I talk? Thanks for any replies. |

Lift your hand and point a finger when you say it. The brains reticular activation system is programmed to track and enable cognition of any moving object in it's visual field, just in case it's a predator approaching. Attention is created to focus on the movement just in case it could be dangerous. Thats why you could be reading this and a spider the size of a pinhead could be walking up the wall and you'd notice it. |

NICE! I like it! As for as being more dominant some of it is in your voice and some of it is also due to previous behavior with that person. Your history with them may make it harder for them to respect you. This is part of what makes it so hard in this situation. Melodica is spot on but you also have to realize this can be taken disrespectful and can piss off people. A dominant louder (deep) voice will get their attention quicker along with more overall dominant body language I believe I've already linked my Alpha Videos to one of your pages if not the play list link is in my signature. Take into consideration sometimes when you are in a fun environment it's hard to gain attention. In order to have the most attention be the guy having the most fun. When you are that guy people pay attention to you because they want to continue to having fun. In this situation I wouldn't take it too personally but always realize the most effective way to get a persons attention is to call them personally by name. Enjoy the moment, you don't have to BOSS people around. Do things that you enjoy. Others will notice. (you surrender to whatever others may think, just let it go, not like you don't care, you just don't act on it, you know it is there.) If you get the flow, people will start liking you more and therefore notice you more. Also everyone should start listening to you more etc. Just make sure YOU enjoy doing what you do, don't think IF others will like you. Also, don't do anything stupid that you're SURE to get disliked. p; (You're not that stupid probably, but I'm just making sure.) (Because I was that stupid once, actually.) If people like what you're doing, then they're sure to try to get in with you, just make sure they know what it is and that you're REALLY enjoying it. |
