Hey guys, so I just started back at school and there's this really cute girl in my drawing class that I just started talking to. I work at a whole foods and I've seen her in there before so I started up a conversation with her after class and we ended up hanging out for a couple of hours. She seemed like she was flirting with me while we were together. I got her number and told her we should hang out sometime. I saw her again today in class and we were talking at some point and she off-handedly mentioned that she was currently dating someone. Instantly, I was thinking to my self that maybe I should just leave it at that and stop pursuing her. Generally I find that girls with boyfriends are a waste of time but this girl is really cool and I'm wondering if I just see how it goes. What do y'all think? Thanks in advance. |

You don't want to pick up her boyfriend. You want to pick up the chick. It's not your job to worry about this issue...it's theirs. Don't make this decision for her, let her decide which one of you she wants. |

MynameisFisher is totally right, it's her business not yours! Responding negatively to "i got a boyfriend/dating someone" Not so good. Taking an attitude because of it is even worst. I would act as if she never said it, i would totally ignore it. |

Don't let it occupy even a spot of your thinking time. Remember, if you build sufficient attraction between you and herself, she will kick her boyfriend to the kerb. Like most things in life, we human beings always trade in something better for something which we've 'settled' for, if given the chance. |

I invited her out to a party tonight via text and she texted me back saying that she couldn't come because she had made other plans. I didn't text her back. I feel like maybe she's just being polite and doesn't really have any interest in me other than just being friends. There goes another one. |

Do you know something called "building comfort and developing rapport"? How the hell can you just invite her to a party based on a limited amount of interaction? Unless, you are known pretty well by her, she just won't take up a stranger's offer of an invite. Well, that was too forward in my opinion. Next time, remember to take time with women before inviting them to parties. |

That said, the lead isn't dead, necessarily. Still toss her a text every once in a while seeing if she wants to see you.
