| Post subject: | Running out of things to say over the phone |
I've been talking with this girl over the phone for a few weeks now and the beginning of the conversations are pretty smooth and basically fluff (how was her day and stuff like that). There is one point when we start talking about us and get sentimental (wish I could be with you, etc); from this point the conversation still runs smoothly for some minutes until I start repeating the same compliments or just don't know what else to say. After that, the conversation is filled with awkward silences and I start asking random questions which I know bores her to death. I don't know what else to say, should I get more sentimental, back to small talk or something else? how? I've been asking open-minded questions (basing them on her responses) but the only ones I know are "How was...?", "What do you think about...?" and "What do you like about...?" and they get boring after some time. I've also been trying to relate things emotionally by asking how she feels about different things but are there any other ways to ask this other than just "how does that make you feel?". One last thing I'm also doing is trying to make more statements instead of so many questions but sometimes they are just random and interrupt the flow of the conversation. Any advice? |

Completely avoid drawn out phone conversations. Only talk to her on the phone if you have something specific to talk about, or if you are setting up a time and place to meet her. |

Damn it man, I had that same shit. Always the same fucking bullshit, blabla*day story that i can't care less about*blabla. Just don't keep talking shit on the phone, say that you're busy and got to go, you'll talk to her when you see her. They want your attention, but KEEP acting NICE, like you want to talk, but you're busy. You're getting sucked into her control if you're letting yourself do things for her you don't want to. You should be doing things with each other you both like. |
