I was wondering what you guys thought of the book "The Game." I never got around to reading it but I just bought it because I keep hearing great things about it from virtually everybody. I'm gonna give it a read next week after my online class finishes up. So I've been talking to a few girls online and this one gave me her number after a few messages and told me I should text her. I did and we hit it off fairly well. we've been talking semi-regularly and on and off ever since and I saw her one fb this morning and shot her a message. apparently she wasn't doing anything at work but her internet was acting up so she texted me and we started talking. she basically works monday-friday 9-5 on an internship so I said after work one day next week we should hang out. she texted back saying basically she doesn't know and she's been talking to a guy she used to really like and had a thing with last summer. the old me would've just deleted her number out of frustration or said something AFC like "oh okay, good luck." but I want to know how should I respond to this text? the fact that I don't know how to really bugs me. |

In my opinion, The Game is just one really long LR/journal from Strauss. Still a good read and worth it. I would recommend it, but it needs to be supplemented with other things. You're going to learn a lot from it, but it's definitely no Bible, or magic book. In fact, in my opinion, books have always helped my inner game more than my outer game. Even books that have nothing but routines in them... Weird, huh? In regards to your other question, you need to show her that you're not intimidated by this other guy being the apple of her eye. Just go in there and tell her you still want to go out and see where it leads. This sounds like a major shit test to me. |

yeah, that seems like a pretty good way to go about it. and yeah it could definitely be a shit test here, to see if I really wanna hang out with her or not. I'll definitely try what you said and keep it in mind for future situations. This sounds like a major shit test to me. as for the game I'll keep it mind. it sounds like a good read and anything that helps any part of my game is always worthwhile. |

I just finished reading the book today man. It's become one of my favorite books. Like fresprince said, it's no bible it's more of a back story of Style, Mystery, Ross Jeffries a small part on David DeAngelo and many others. It helps you to understand all the hard work that an unnatural has to put in to become a PUA and the mentality that one builds to become one. It's very inspirational and addresses some pitfalls that one can fall into, if you get REALLLY involved with this stuff. This book will give you a much deeper understandings in the world of mPUA's It's a great fucking book and you MUST read it. Theres routines, inner game improvements, lessons, lessons and more lessons, drama, action, sex and more awesomeness... Read it. |

Honestly its well written story. I only wished that Style went a little more in-depth with his methods and cut back on the drama. |

"Rules of the Game," also by Style, is 1,000 times better than the game in terms of actual practicality. I would recommend you read "Rules," "The Definitive Book of Body Language," by Barbara and Allen Paese, Krishnamurti's "Freedom from the Known," "The Art of Seduction" and "48 Laws of Obtaining Power" all before reading the game. In fact, I would suggest you do not read "The Game" unless you are looking for a good story. It is very inefficient compared to other works on how to help you with your game. |

Its a good book, but i have read that and "Magic Bullets" by Savoy and personally i would take "Magic Bullets" over "The Game" there is more detail to it, and it is really good if you are trying to learn the game. Also i am reading Speed Suduction by Jeff Ross, and that is also an interesting book. Although i like Magic Bullets better, both are great books! |

The Game is an awesome book. A fantastic journey through a man's development from AFC to mPUA. It can get you inspired more than direct information and training books, but it does not contain enough detail to train you. However, this book is one of the most common reasons for so many men initially finding the PUA community, and builds a fantasy of becoming a mPUA in nearly all men's imagination. I have read it twice and thouroughly recommend it, but keep in mind, its a story based on truth. It will take you on an inspiring journey, not teach you all that you need. |
