Post subject:  Solutions for the Awkward silence

In every date or meetup there may be times when there will be some awkward silence when the convo has come to a dead end..

I usually give a light smile and look direct at her eyes. I believe it increases the sexual tension a bit.

Sometimes I just say "Why are u silent all of a sudden? Are you nervous?"

or "You have nothing else to tell about you? cummon, tell me something cool about you"

But i just wanted to know some other ways of going about it.

you probably in the set for too long. you should have made some action with your target by then. Not sure if you really want to hang with that set cos when your having fun conversation just keeps flowing.

you shouldnt milk an opinion or anything like that, you should introduce the new topic, talk about it for like two minutes and then get something else in. This way, if you do hit that awkward silence then you can bring up one of the other topics again...

This will happen sometimes in the field, when it does i try to use a funny comment:
Every time there an awkward silence a ginger dies.
this becomes more funny if whatever the joke is refers to some one in the set. like if there was a ginger i would look at them weirdly and conversation starts going again.

you're also right about using the silence to build up sexual tension

Hi Gents,

Firstly of all apologies for any bad spelling and grammar. Second I’m trying to build a name for myself so I wanted to post a couple more little routines I use and hopefully some of you will find them useful and be able to take something for them, feel free to direct message me for more personable advice.
Interesting job DHV

When your in a set you bound to have to deal with the same old mundane standard questions, age, family, job, pets ect ect, I always try and give a playful answer. And this is one I’ve been using for a while now and found very successful.

When a woman ask me what I do I tell her I work for a think tank company and I specialise in naming race horses, I go on to say haven’t you always noticed race horses have cool and funny names like redrum being murder backwards, if your feeling confident you can even make up a fake connoisseur of naming race horses like ‘dictor van hallom and state that he was your inspiration growing up, and try and make them feel stupid for not knowing this was a genuine job all the time smiling so I’m not taking my self to seriously. Some times it’s good to even give a couple of examples of your recent work…

its simple, funny, interesting and builds value. its only a small piece in the jigsaw but i really enjoy using it in set.

I hope you can work this into your set, let me know how you get on.
