Ive approached countless sets, and nowdays I can pretty much open close to 100% of them (not closing consistently for now, just open) And Ive never had this kinda thing happen.

Did a very quick set last night, once i saw them up close it turns out the girls too old for me so I didnt bother to do much, but one did say something that never came up before so I was wondering how to deal with it in the future.

*Me walking past, glancing, then glancing again*
ME: I like your glasses (she was wearing one of those really big, thick glasses that seem to be in fashion now, for some reason I think they make girls look hot)
HB1: thanks,
ME: so you are the kind of girl that has a good sense of fashion, I can tell
HB1: hell yeah
ME: haha, so u agree?
HB1: of course I agree
ME: ok then, tell me something, I need advice..
HB1: ok
ME: What do you think of this scarf im wearing?
HB1: I think it you should take it off
ME: WHAT!! as if.... Thats it I dont like you anymore. *to HB2 beside her* Hi! (this was actually my target)
HB2: Oh no, Im not gonna be your second choice. Fuck off.
ME: wow, ok then.. *turn back to HB1*
HB1: here let me fix ur scarf

she played with it for a while then I walked away cuz tbh i wasnt intersted. But Im curious what everyone thinks, Ive never had a girl tell me I dont want to be second choice I actually didnt know what to say. Now that i think about it maybe saying something like "I actually wanted to talk to you initially but was to nerveous" or maybe try the other end of the spectrum and say something "wow, somebody has jeleousey issues..."

I think ""I actually wanted to talk to you initially but was to nerveous"
Is a bad responce as....

-Its DLV'ng you, Your basicly saying "I dont have the balls to go up and talk to the girls that i want" That isnt ALPHA

-Also if the first girl hears you say that she will get offended and drag her friend away

First thing i can see is not approaching both girls. It seems like the majority of the conversation was to girl one.

I would of said something like..
ME: so you TWO are the kind of girls that has a good sense of fashion, I can tell
HB1: blah blah
ME: haha, so u agree?
HB1: of course I agree
ME: ok then, tell me something, I need a girls opinion...( Addressing both girls)
HB1: ok
ME: What do you TWO think of this scarf im wearing? (with a hand on each of their shoulders)

Also a responce i use alot when a girl is acting up like that is.

1- Wow....that was abit weird anyway...
2-Oh wait..did you think i was trying to hit on you girls? noooo....anyway(Routine)

I like Griff's response and think this is a good way to open in general.

But I guess once you were in this situation and had been told to "Fuck off" (ha, what an angry girl.)

You could have gone direct. Told her exactly why you were talking to her friend.

You: Do you want to know a secret? You're my first choice. I spoke to your friend first so that she'd trust me enough to let me hit on you.

It'll take real brass monkeys but better than saying you were nervous.
I could be wrong, opinions appreciated.

What about teasing her and saying "What makes You think You are a choice :D?" and then calibrate with "Though you are cute" and then stack forward with another routine.

Wow, sorry to her that bro, but at least you know if shes willing to be tat hostile shes not the kind of girl for you.

Anyway, I have used this before when girls get "spunky" and it seems to work fine if its delivered right. Though I have never used it on a girl thats downright hostile.

"Wow, somebody is spunky today. What, did you snack on children as you slept last night?"

Shes not gonna be your second choice but she will be your first  maybe she was being playful and you took it as harsh? You could have tested it.

She was giving you gold man. I would have taken that and bounced it straight back at her; "you're confident, I love that. I'm so sick of speaking to meek, shy little girls, I'll take a real woman any day".

I'll credit Kezia for that one

Yea, I agree telling the second girl she was the target you originally had in mind is a bad idea and it would have been better if you had involved both of the girls in your conversation from the get-go. Having said that, being told to 'fuck off' out loud can be quite jarring under most circumstances, and I personally find it an instant turn off when a girl swears in that manner, unless it's said in a playful, laughing manner where she doesn't really mean it, of course.

If she said this in a serious and genuinely angry manner, you could have retorted with something like: "Whoa sailor, what makes you think I had you in mind as a choice at all? So rude, you really think I'd let you kiss me with that mouth?".

If she was somewhat playful (e.g. laughing) when she told you to f*** off, you could have turned to the other girl and said "Wow, is this one always rude to strangers like that?"

"don't worry your not my type"
or
turn to the other girl and say
"wow shes feisty is she always like that"
smilesmilesmile. do not make it seem like an asshole comment.
