So I'm trying it on with a girl at work, I was total AFC before but since changing my attitude & body language she tends to come and talk to me more / proximity etc...
She's got a bf and she emailed me some 'shit test?' today saying that one of her friends said to her not to get too drunk in-case I tried it on with her.
I basically replied and then added the following on (as if it was just an afterthought):
'and I only go for gorgeous girls'

Now my method of thinking was perhaps by doing this she would subconsciously think 'ok I've gotta get with this guy to prove that I'm gorgeous'

Soooo...

You reckon it'll work or did I just insult the crap out of her for nothing? :roll:

no i think that was well put, maybe you should have been a bit less harsh and said something like 'i normally go for girls who make me laugh' then you have the benefit of seeing if she suddenly tries to become a comedian around you, in which case you know she likes you.
in the current situation next time you see her, you need to be showing more attention to other girls, and maybe throw in a boyfriend destroyer like 'aren't you lucky to have a bf that: would risk his life for you'/ showers you with gifts / keeps you fully satisfied.

@Thaywood-Good advise.Perfect advise on pre-selection.

@Ay-Jay-your tactic of getting her to qualify would only work if she's attracted enough.

She has to be invested for that to work or she wont bite the bait.

She would just leave you with your assumption of her not being gorgeous.

But according to you,she's digging you so it should work.

When using a neg like that, go for things that the girl can choose to be, or something referencing your preference. You basically told her she's not good looking enough for you.

Your frame of thinking is correct, but going for something like "i only go for brunettes" would've been more appropriate.

I am fucking creepy when it comes to making jokes, so I would've said something like "WHAT! she's spoiling my plans!" or "oh damn well then i guess i'll have to give you a roofie a lot sooner"

That's just me-i like getting a reaction so I don't really recommend it.

It's not that bad that you said that. You can always make up for it by sleeping with her.

Next time you meet up with her or converse over the phone you should say "Hey gorgeous!"

You really, REALLY hurt that girl. I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if she cried over it. Believe me here, I am not exaggerating. I know you didn't do it on purpose; it's normal to say really stupid shit when you like a girl. BUT DON'T DO IT AGAIN. EVER. It will NOT make her subconsciously think "ok I've gotta get with this guy to prove that I'm gorgeous"

This however I don't agree with. She no doubt still remembers the comment you made, and bringing it up again this way will only make it seem like you're mocking her.

I just think you should give her some time to get over it. Saying something about it will only embarrass her more.

She didn't take it too bad, she phoned me up and said 'are you trying to say I'm not hot?' she laughed it off and she did actually seem extra flirty at the Xmas party. I certainly outplayed my boss who was also trying to game her ;)

Sweet. The fact that you semi-insulted her and she's still 'flirty' seems like an IOI in itself (Roz?)

if she has brown hair use - "i usually only go for brunettes but i'll make an exception for you..." . Obviously if she has blonde hair "....for blondes but ill make ...." and so on. This is cheeky and will make her have to think about the answer before pulling a slow, smirky, "you're smart" style smile. You can then follow up by commenting on the thinking time and referring to it as a 'satellite delay' and say you wondered what that burning smell was. If she ain't smiling after that trio she is probably on a government list and should be avoided like the plague. Hope that helps. :wink:
