Post subject:  Girl talking about boys to me
Hey guys,

I have this girl that I've been talking to (mostly online but I've seen her a few times in reality as well) for I think about 2 years now, and with mayor credits to the community I have been able to solve many of the problems I had with her, but there is one (well there are more problems, but this one's important for me SPAM) problem that I cannot get my head around.

Sometimes she starts telling me about a guy she has met the night before or w/e. She isn't asking for advice or anything, but for example: when we're chatting and she is consistently late with responding, and I tell her off for that, she will apologize and most of the times tell something about a some guy and that he's all cute and sexy and that he's talking to her on msn/wlm right now.

I'm quite sure that I have not fallen into the friend zone with her, so for that reason I assume that it is a kind of shit test.

My question: How to deal with it?

Bro... It's safe the say there is a very high probability of you being in the FZ.

If you aren't, or just want to pretend you aren't, you could try indirectly AMOGing him. This is something I love to do with random guys/girls that I don't know with a date. C&F banter about what they're doing, maybe if they're with a date you can be like "Yeah, he's definitely not getting any tonight."

You have been friends with this girl for two years and only have met her in person a few times...and you talk at length with her online = Friend Zone!!!

I disagree.

Psychological studies have provided evidence that speaking well of people when they are not around, improves other peoples opinion of you.

If while discussing your work mates you spend all day bitching about the slacker, you get seen as judgemental and un-friendly, even if your ire is understandable.

Exibiting hostile behaviour ends up reflecting who you are percieved as. It's a law of karma really.

You talk smack about people you don't know, or people you don't like and people see you as a bitching passive-aggressive asshole. And rightly so, what else do you expect them to take away from the fact that you slag people off in private?

Yes, but I find a distinction in talking shit about acquaintances behind their backs and playfully using CF about an AFC with your date. Which is why I used italics.

I'm not suggesting to be like "wow that guy is a huge douche," more like "can we talk about work, too? That conversation sounds really interesting."

Let me know if you still disagree.
