I've been practicing saying the things that go unsaid - with good results for the little time I've been doing it. Today: 1) talking to a casual acquaintance - hb7 - I ran into at coffee shop. She works at a bar I frequent and when I asked her if she was working tonight she said "no but I'll be up there". I replied "is that a hint? I thought you had a boyfriend" she sort of blushed and said she was just making convo. 2). Later I was picking up some food at a restataunt and the waitress couldn't figure out the ordering system and apologized for taking so long. To which I said "no it's my fault I'm making you nervous". She pretended not to hear. Anyone else do this? I feel like it's too much cocky without the funny. Suggestions? |
