How do you deal with really funny guys?

Post subject:  How do you deal with really funny guys?
There's this guy in one of my classes that's really funny. He's not an attention whore, but he definitely COULD be. He's hilarious; everything he does is funny and everybody laughs. There's no way to AMOG him, and I'm not really friends with him.


So in general, how do you deal with guys that are really funny and just commanding people's attention with resorting to AMOGing ("joker") type comments?

Normally I just enjoy their company and laugh if I find something funny. WTF are you talking about?

I agree with Chef.
If you try to blow him out and people like him, you will come across as a tool.
He will probably be friend-zoned by the most of the girls in the class anyway.

at this point he already built his reputation.
If you a funny guy you can always comment or add to something the said, and by that be seen by other as a funny guy.
If you have something really funny to say, jump right on.

Feed the funny guy so much that he starts looking like the joker of the class.


i used to feel insecure around guys who were funny..could make funny sounds..mimic people.

i realized i coudnt be that funny....so i started feeding them.
soon they start to look like jokers.

For a while I was that funny guy. I would always make the class laugh and everyone labeled me as the funny guy. The result was that I still got the girls just not nearly as much as my best friend. What I realized was its good to be funny, but not so funny that you seem needy for attention or cant take anything seriously. Your best bet is to befriend this guy and make friends with the girls he is with. In a way you can AMOG him by saying "this guy is sooo funny! he is like the biggest joker I know". This is a complement to him, but a subtle neg at the same time.

No way to AMOG him? LOL.
Best amog tactic - ever.

Act uninterested in his DHV. Anything that should impress you (including humor), act like you dont care. Not offensively or sarcastically, politely, but ust have the frame its no biggie.
The rest of the group will love him, but see this disinterest which you are showing. This will lower his value to the group, and he will see this, so he will attempt to qualify himself to you. Now hes in your hands :).
Still act disinterested, and compliment him. With a heavy frame. A funny guy -

''You are absolutely hilarious man. Like the funniest guy I have had talk to me in aggggess. I know your gonna keep making us laugh man. Your fun to be around :)''

He cant dis you or anything, coz youve just been really nice. He would make himself look a dick.

Its now his actions after this that determine the alpha. He will either validate himself to you as a result of your disinterest and by you making him feel so on the spot in front of the group, in which case your AMOG. Or he will fail to validate himself to you, making himself look a tool. In fact the only way to reverse this, is flip the frame back around on you, and its unlikely hes going to try it.
