I'm not a humorless person at all, it's the opposite actually but I can never think of anything funny. I'm just not funny lol. Any tips or canned material I can use to get hb's/ people laughing??

sorry man, but if your generally not funny, its hard to become funny as theres only so much canned material you can use, and its best if its suited to the situation...which canned stuff won't be.

however, if you learn canned stuff, you may start to see how it all works and over time, generally pick it up.

i have no canned material to give you coz i don't use it, i just thought i'd let you know your in for a long hard process. and IMO, not everyone will have canned stuff coz they're like me

Depends on which situation you're in.

I am in the same league as you but trust me if you have a sense of humor you can be funny. I have had situations in which I cracked jokes and I didn't even realize it, because I was using pun or playing with words. So it not that you aren't funny it just that you need to be aware of it. That probably doesn't mean a lot. But go read some comedy books, watch some tv shows, and then when you are in the mind set make up some jokes yourself and write them down. Memorize and rehearse, if you really want to and need a confidence boost, host a comedy show for some friends ask them what they think, there is no shame in that.

Imo comedians werent born funny, they just gain so much experience from writing and cracking jokes that they know how to please a general audience, or individuals and now it comes naturally. It is an art and a psychology, to understand how people react to situation. It is storytelling with no punchlines but them coming back to fill the dots. That what was done in shakespeares a midsummer nights dream. <-- great comedy work that is.

You also have to be witty, and fast to respond to situations to make the best out of it, like wise watch some Mr.Bean, you will notice that he doesn't say a word and he is funny. That is called slapstick humor, it is the basis of modern humor, the pleasure we have from seeing people hurt themselves or other by accident (obviously no death is involved because then it is seriously), like old Charlie Chaplin comedy, this is not bullshit it still applies today. Most of are humor is communicated via our body language, and a lot of it is tone. You can say "fuck you" and be funny if you say is in the right way.

No naturals who are funny, I think it comes down to the fact that they simply don't care about anything. You might notice that fat people, or outcasts, are funny people. That is because they feel they need to validate themselves to girls or others, because they can't use looks or coolness or anything else. Most importantly they don't care, about what they say, they have a bad first impression anyway, so they have nothing to lose. Girls will either go for confidence or funny, so I think everyone stands a fair chance.

Lastly, a girls sense of humor is really messed up, they laugh at the most shitty jokes! :P

Instead of worry about your funny talk, have fun. Its the first principle of pickup, as some guru jave said, if you are not having fun on pickup, youre not doing it right.

I would reccomend you the some standup comedy videos on youtube:
- Never scared of Chris Rock
- I will tell you for the last time of Seinfeld
Two complete shows of over an hour.

David Deangelo recommends the book "The comedy toolbox" of John Varhaus, I have this book on pdf, but I didnt read yet.

Sorry buddy but a an ability to be funny is something you either have or don't, unless you want to memorize a joke book there really isn't a whole lot of canned material.

I would suggest being yourself and eventually your funny side will be shown.

WIN, I doesnt agree with you.

The same way we can improve our hability to seduce, we can improve how me make other people laughs. Its not about canned material, its about a funny personality.

Have you watched a lot of comedy shows/movies/stand-up in your life? I was the class clown throughout junior high and high school. I've always assumed that this was because I had watched Saturday Night Live regularly since I was 6 years old.

watching comedy is the best way to go.
I would suggest
Jerry Seinfield
Daniel Tosh - True stories I made up (thats his best one! and my favorite!!)
Dane Cook (many people dont like him but his comedy is so common that anyone can relate to it)
Lewis Black
Ellen Degerous

Look up jokes, but dont use them. Just study those comics mannerisms and the jokes formats. Be sarcastic but not mean, dumb but not stupid, silly but not gay. If you start out a joke or story that is funny in a serious tone people will get bored, if u start it out laughing and acting like it is funny people will be ready to laugh, but you have to bring up your end of the bargain and make them laugh.
Comics are not constantly doing this bc of 2 reasons, 1 you are prepared to laugh becasue you paid 60 bucks to see som1 make u laugh and 2 they pump you up and get u excited in the beginning so they can be chill but still make you crack up in the middle.

I know that! Its something im trying to eliminate from my game, but is hard, cause sarcasm is a way of see the things, its something I can just hide from others.

Its part of my personality. And I love it. Well dude, we can talk about that on another topic, I dont want to take away the focus of the topic.

this tip may sound pretty cheesy but...

study and understand Chandler's sense of humor, in Friends. those jokes, if you know when to throw them (not like him) are gold.

pretty useful to me, I hope the same for you
