How do you respond when a girl says Your a cocky guy "Teasingly" Your a cocky guy "seriously" I have been getting called out on this from time to time when using my CF routine, am i not being funny enough, or am i being just to damn plain cocky. Or is it all good |

I love how you've given us some context as to how they're saying it. Good job! If she says it in a teasing way, simply reply with "you love it" or something. If she's being serious, reply with "No I'm not! I'm a really nice guy, you just have to give me a chance." Obviously I'm fucking with you there. Now seriously, if she's saying it in a criticising way, just be like "and?" - she'll hit you with something else like "i dont like guys who are cocky", which you can just reply with "why are you still talking to me then?". Whatever she hits you with, depending on what it is, you can either ask her something to challenge what she's saying (like in that example), agree with her criticisms, or just brush it off with a "whatever". Make sure to get back on track with whatever it was you were talking about ASAP so you're not dancing around the fact that you're cocky for too long.h |

Wait, so your kidding about telling her how nice I am? yah i'm kidding to Thank you for that quick response, i like the "and" concept, gives a few options to work with based off the way she responds. |

Well, the best solution is often the most simplistic. A lot of guys are so preoccupied with coming up with the smoothest, most witty responses... when all they really need to do is this. In some cases, being witty or having a really smooth answer sends the wrong signals, as it can seem like something you've rehearsed. |

Solomon is spot on. Rehearsed answers give off the rehearsed feeling. Not natural... On the other hand if you can practice verbal duelling with people you are in comfort with it will be easier for you to improvise and that is one of the best things ever. Anyway, my spontaneous answer to this would be something like: ... and funny. Oh, really, thank you for pointing that out Captain obvious. Oh, youre breaking my heart (off handedly). Yeah, I got a medal for it. Yes Im a nobel prize winner in annoying behaviour. |

I've had this a few times. I just say the first thing that comes to mind. "Yeah, and?" "It's called confidence "You love it" "Hey, that's who I am" |

I quote Bill Hicks: Four one-word questions. "Yeah? And? So? What?" If she's still talking to you, well, she's not offended by it... Smells like shit test ? So, don't back down. If she really doesn't like you being cocky you'll be able to sense it.. Non-verbal over verbal. always. |

My friend came up with this one on the spot a couple of years ago, and we still use it today. I think it's great. You just say,"Cocky? You should see me in athletic shorts." |

a reply to either: "There is a fine line between confident and cocky and i, my dear, am the aforementioned." Say it in a CF way and it should fly, id like to say stick a wink afterward but thats kinda 80's! |

If I'm ever told I'm cocky or conceded, I just tell them that I'm not conceded, I'm convinced. In a playful manner of course. |
