Alright so i had experienced a ridiculous situation a few days ago and i don't know how to comprehend and deal with it. Here is the story, im currently a junior at high school and ive been trying to get with the ladies hehe. Everything usually seems to go the way i want and i am able to avoid or deal with an awkward situation if i come across one except this one. Im in class, and ive been chatting up with this girl for a few months now, i feel like she is really into me. She seems sort of bummed out on this day , because of some guy rejecting her, i cheer her up with my jokes and humor. It appears that she is flirting with me most of the time. This other girl tells me that i should totally kiss her or im a pussy if i don't. In my mind im thinking "I ain't no pussy". So by the end of class i ask how she's feelin, she says she feels a little better. And i say "i know something that could make you feel even better", i grab her and turn her towards me and i lean in about 90%, and i see a WTF look on her face, i panic and i say "No?!?". I take a step back and try to laugh it off and act like whatever. Right now im in a state of shock and fear, most of my confidence is gone. By the time class is over i say "sorry if i weirded you out". She replies by saying it wasn't weird". I tell her as she is on her way out the door "we should hang out sometime". And she says with the slightest amount of sarcasm "okay.. yeah". I've never felt so awkward in my life. I talk to some people about it, they tell me my mistake was not going all the way, others have said it's just high school, this shit always happens and i should just forget about it and move on. I have class with her on Monday, and i haven't seen or talked to her since this has happened, what do i do? |

Act like nothing has ever happened. That'd be your best bet. You don't have to explain yourself for ANYTHING. |

First off I wouldn't have appologized...you should never appologize to someone unless you either physically hurt them or seriously offend them! But since you already did, I wouldn't worry about it too much! Jav makes a great point, you can't show her that you're effected by that initial rejection...in fact try to turn it around on her, in a joking/ C/F manner! Like if she does bring it up or hint to it in some way, try this! HER: So, what was up with you last week? (I guarantee she won't say that, but she will say something to dance around the subject instead of being blunt...Which is an IOI by the way!!) YOU: Oh, when I tried to kiss you? (C/F attitude) HER: Umm...yea! YOU: No big deal, just one of those caught in the moment things! But you sure made it awkward though, oh man!! You owe me for embarrassing me in class/the hallway/where ever like you did! (C/F attitude) She should get a little chuckle over that and see that it didn't bother you to get that initial rejection plus the Cocky/Funny attitude always lightens the mood. Oh, and if she responds to the "you owe me..." line then tell her to go to lunch with you or goto the prom...whatever...you seem witty I'm sure something will come to mind! Make sure you use and maintain the C/F...that's the key to this! Also make sure you maintain eye contact!! If she/you are talking, make sure that you hold eye contact until she breaks it, then you're in the clear...do this through out the whole conversation cause it shows your attention is on her, that you're confident and if she holds eye contact with you then that's an IOI! OK, So: C/F attitude...turn it around on her...hold eye contact...not so hard! Have fun -Crain Diesel |
