Hey.I was thinking about making this topic so that each one of you can write post his own ideas and methods for ending the awkward silence and i also make a summary of the best ones so that everyone can easily find em and see them without having to search all over the forum. |

A bad habit I occasionally fall into is an awkward topic shift, leading the conversation to something completely irrelevant to the goal I'm trying to achieve. For example, the last time this happened, I ended up talking about my business plans, which lead these two girls to give me business advice on how I could make it better. Although in most cases, this isn't so much of a problem, after all it was a solid conversation, it just turned out that the rest of the night consisted of this one topic (ouch). So what I can say is, if you're suffering for things to say or just stumble into one of these pockets of silence, any subject you are interested in or think that they might be depending on how well you've been paying attention, should work well enough. Just make sure you steer the conversation elsewhere after a while before you get caught up in it for the rest of the night. Remember that conversation should flow naturally. The way this works is that when you talk, you hear something, a topic you can add a few words too. Keep a note of this in your mind and pick this up as a thread of conversation should the talking dwindle. This way you can fill in gaps easily enough and demonstrate to the girl that you were paying attention. Don't worry about finding things to talk about if you think you struggle. Just pay attention to what she says and use your own judgment to decide if this new thread will work with her. |

How about throwing in an interesting riddle or some shit to occupy her mind maybe? How many 9's between 1 and 100? (ans: 20) Guess off the top of your head how many days till you die? (ans: ~28,000 in your life) Of course if you haven't done it already this awkward silence may be a beautiful time to drop in the all conquering cube! |

The actress has been playing the recurring background role in the Queen Vic since its first episode on February 19, 1985. Jane Slaugter doesn't want a bigger part in EastEnders She told the TV Times: "I like to act, but I don't think Tracy could do an incredible amount more than she does." She went on: "I find it hard to imagine it making much sense if she was jabbering away every episode." Asked if she had ever considered spreading her wings, Jane said: "No. EastEnders has changed over the years, so I don't get bored. And I'm very aware of how fortunate I am to have been there that long." |

compliment when it get's silent... it doesnt have to be 'romantic' like "wow, you have beautiful eyes" that kind of shit is only for the end when you can escalate, I mean compliments that are more nice, less.... romatic/sexual, maybe something like "man, you have the most amazing skin" if she seems smart... "im surprised a girl with your looks is so intelligent" if shes athletic... " it isnt fair your this good looking and you play sports decently"... you can see this have a general tone to them, it isnt like 'god your hot' its just a nice thing to say that will steer the awkward silences out... it works perfectly, for example if she is hot and a decent athlete..." its so odd how you are pretty and a decent athlete, its unusual" her reply is irrelvant... than " usually when girls are as good as you at _____ they are a bit manly or something, you dont have that it all" this good for two reasons... A. girls love to hear how there prettier than other girls or more special, and B. it's easy to go on and on about this, and if it goes well, it will lead into more direct compliments without a weird gap in between... if you out of nowhere say, " you have the sexiest ass" its going to be weird, if before that you mention how she is a soccer player, she is reasonably fit, she takes care of herself.. blah blah, when you make that SPAM about her sexy ass its gonna be more natural and shell accept it more |
