Post subject:  Flaky number close?!
Hi, I'm a first time poster but not exactly new to the game :) Had a little experience last weekend...

So, in a club I meet this rather attractive female. Chat to her, make her laugh almost uncontrollably and decide that I would like to see more of her. I hand her my phone and tell her to put her number in. She says ok and saves the number and then tells me "I am not very good at replying to texts and answering calls!" Then she suggests I add her on Facebook. Anyone know what that is all about? What should I do next?

I hate getting numbers because they usually mean enough comfort wasn't established. She has to want to call you. I would try to build more comfort before getting numbers, just a suggestion.

what you should have done is took your phone and deleted the number right in front of her. then you give her your number and say "i'm usually pretty good at answering so when you call me, we'll talk again." you put the obligation on her, and you tell her to add you on facebook, rarely if ever should you add people.

now, since you're past that part, i guess you're gonna have to text her or call her. start out with, "hey this is _______, this is your only chance to text me back or it's over" or something cocky funny that's sure to elicit a response. end the conversation first, and then say it's her turn to text you or call you next time

Haha I love everything hell's angel said.

However, i dont think you're in a bad spot here. If she really wasn't into you she wouldn't have mentioned she is bad at answering texts or calls. If she wasnt into you she woulda just either not give you her number, or if she did say nothing after that. Her saying she is bad at answer or texts to me almost means if I don't answer at first give me a little.

Thats just my opinion.

Your replies have been quite useful.

In my opinion she was leaving her options open as to whether to take this further or not.

I tend to agree with Fair Rose and admit that we had not built up enough intimacy but she was leaving to join some friends and I suppose I panicked because she seemed too good to lose.

I still haven't decided what to do in this scenario...text, call or neither? Add her to Facebook or not? HEHE I am so rusty at this and tend to be over analytical in these situations :/

that's understandable my friend, we've all been where you are now. well most of us i guess, i know i was.

I still wouldn't add her on facebook, just text her, get friendly, and tell her you're heading to go get coffee or hot chocolate or whatever it is you drink and that she's free to tag along. make it a reward to be able to hang out with you.

Go to the routine section and read up on phone game and list of text message games. these provide plenty of text openers and it'll get you started
