Since I haven't really been the guy who looked for something serious, I need some help with this one girl.

I met her last year, was instantly blown away and we hit it off very well. However that was at a bad time in my life and I couldn't really go for it. I then called her at the end of the year to ask her out, she was very receptive to it but then got super flaky and finally told me she met someone else. I told her no worries and basically went no contact.

Fast forward to now, a friend of mine told me she is single again, but he doesn't want her to know he told me.
Now I know I would be weak if I instantly just went for it. I might see her again at a party in a couple of weeks...

Is there a way to not make it obvious if i hit her up via text? Should I just wait till I see her again?

I would guess the general approach would be to play it cool and not tell her I'm constantly thinking about her...this whole feelings thing sucks ;)

Personally, I would just wait till the party and create attraction at the party and then text her afterwards once you created something good at the party. I personally don't see any benefit from her perception of you if you just text her all of a sudden.

If you're gonna meet her at a party then meet her at a party and flirt. If not, text her. And flirt.

You worry way too much about what may happen.

If you're going to see her at the party just be patient.

The game is all about patient anyway. Knowing when to take steps back and capitalizing off of the windows of opportunities to push things forward.

Your best option is to do your best to mentally deflect any thought of her that comes to your mind all while pursuing other endeavor. This will have to be the case if you want to be in the frame of mind to attract her when you do see her. Sign up for tinder or something. Grab some new numbers, pursue a couple other chicks, and take advantage of the moment when you do see her.
