Hello everyone! I've been twittering for about 3 or 4 years, and about 2 years ago I met a really nice girl (around HB 6-7). For two years we have been like: "We are going to meet blablabla" but we never did it. Yesterday I spoke to her again, and we agreed to meet next Friday! But there is some kind of a problem: What I usually do on first dates is go to a local coffee place and just talk about random stuff, but since I have been twittering with her for about 2 years I know already almost everything about her.. So I don't know if I should just skip the first date (talk etc) and go instantly into the second date (doing something, like a cinema or go to a aquarium) or just pretend I don't know anything about her and do the usual thing. The problem with the first option is that some REALLY awkward silences may come up, and the problem with the second part is that it looks like I was not interested at all in her life. Does anyone have any suggestions for this "problem"? Henk |

One easy topic is to talk about how she either does or doesn't act just like you always imagined she would etc. As far as how long do you stay on first date stuff, it depends on what you want from this girl. To pump and dump? Escalate quickly don't go into boring topics. Looking to date her? Then start on first date stuff and move on. If you've talked about her job, it's easy enough to ask her how it's been lately etc. Talk about anything you'd talk to your friends about. If she gets real dressed up you can tease her about her trying to impress you. Possibilities are endless. Just don't fill in the conversation every time. She has to contribute to it also. |
