hey all, new to this, so for now i'm only targeting girls walking by themselves somehwre. i was walking to my car and saw one, did the natural (observational?) approach cuz she looked tired. conversed and ended with her #. here's the text script:

her: is this (my name)? i just wanted to say sorry if i can across as rude
me (the next morning): If i see a smile next time, then maybe i'll consider it :p
her: lol ok maybe

k so i'm completely new to this, and stumped as to what i shoudl text/say go from here. any suggestions would be appreciated

cold text - establish her name (in this case Honey works, you're obviously joking unless she is completely inept)

It's also asking a question (try to stay away from y/n questions, but this will work to get it started)

You could always send something obviously false. See if she thinks it's funny. This will let you know rather quickly if you've built any trust with her at all. If she doesn't trust you, then your jokes might not have the impact you want

Do not send this. You don't know her or her sense of humour. Her last reply wasn't friendly, you have no rapport so don't talk about this kind of shit or she will think you are some freak.

I send this stuff all the time. But, then again I need a lot of help, it's why I'm here. So, when you first start texting, what is a better way of doing it. Not specific texts, but a theme of how to go about it. I haven't seen a thread on that yet.

You have the right idea behind the texting. Be funny and spark emotion. I just didn't think her first reponse was friendly and it would have been bad to send this even as a joke. You need to have a sense for her humour before joking about this kind of thing.

I'm at work but I will post a link to a great texting thread when I have time to find it.

Text her and say 'oh so you're not mean then are you? well i'll be able to judge that for myself after spending sometime with you in person' ... and this will make her think you might be interested in that way or as friends, and will probably end up texting and asking you if you were planning to see her again........ Just wait and see

Ok guys I'm new to this obviously. I wanna escalate and turn this into a potential date.
Any tips on How/what can I say to build rapport quickly and in a good way would be appreciated

she seems obviously uninterested. it doesn't even seem worth it at this point if she's sending responses like 'lol whatever' scream 'get off my fucking back and please stop texting me'.

there might be a way to do something to get her interested again but i dont see how.

I'm trying to think of what to send, she's a graphics major at my univ and somewhat shy. Any ideas?

This is how I would have approached it. trying to get her to qualify herself to you.

Something I noticed you did and that a possible solution to that was you were agreeing with her, thats why she get bored you kinda just repeated what she said but with caps.

Challenge her, do it playfully though. plus its much easier to have conversation :D
