Lol this whole post screams one-itis and approval seeking, maybe DHV. Her: Junior in HS (never been in a relationship before, i was her first kiss) White 5'5''-5'6'' Jewish Democratic multiple pageant queen titles runs her own charity for pediatric cancer "Odd" one out of her social circle Friends FUG, UG, Warpig, Fatty/Tuna (befriending/disarming them SPAM) Values education 4.6 GPA Wants to major in marketing/advertising Wants to minor in political science Volunteering Runs School's environmental club Mom-Lawyer Dad-College Professor Me: Meeting her was a LCM. Throughout high school, I didn't care much about anything. No volunteer or job experience, mediocre grades, barely passing. My social skills were below satisfactory. I was an A student in jr hs, but in hs just stopped caring. I needed to come up with DHV stories to "sell" myself. Senior in HS (never been in a relationship before, she was my first kiss) Filipino 5'4'' Catholic (not really devout) Don't really care about politics, so I guess I'll just "agree" with her? Gymnastics Guitar Piano Small social circle Most of my friends are omegas. I didn't value high school education 2.925 GPA Major in Business, financing, management, medical field Minor-law ^I'm not really sure, but discussing a major and minor is better than "I'm not sure" Beginning volunteering Mom-housewife Dad-computer programmer for MD Anderson Let's say your "daughter" brings her boyfriend over. Well if i were a dad, I'd come up with these questions (these aren't in any particular order. Keep in mind, I need to elaborate on all these answers): Why are you interested in my daughter? She stands out from all the girls in our school. She competes in beauty pageants, values education, and gives back to the community through her charity and volunteering... How did you meet? Through a school organization. I live in the same neighborhood, so we see each other frequently on the bus. What are your goals in life/plans for the future? college... What are your interests? Gymnastics, exercising, volunteering, guitar... Do you have a job? I am a gymnastics coach. Do you plan on marrying my daughter? That's a question I'm unsure of. If was financially secure, I'd be able to give a more clear answer, but marriage is not something I plan on doing in the near future.... Are you sexually active? No. How many relationships have you been in? This will be my first. What makes you qualified to be her spouse/boyfriend? N/A... Do you plan on going to college? Yes What college? UHD, but I am transferring to UT after two year. Why aren't you going straight to UT? Our school is quite competitive... What is your GPA? 2.925 Why is it that low? In my opinion, GPA is a reflection of both motivation and work ethic. Throughout high school, i lacked both. My SAT on the other hand is a 2270. That is going to change immediately when I begin college August 2012. What are you going to major and minor in? I will major in law, considering medical school and minor in business.... Critique my answers/responses? |
