Post subject:  Girls sometimes disqualify themselves - WHY?

So I was bumped into this a girl that I went out with in second year (disastrous date, was back in my needy days, give her to me now and I will have her eating from my hands in no time). We got chatting about things and then about our final year in University, how there is loads of work etc. She then said "Well there is loads to do, and I am not really the most hard working person."

Why did she disqualify herself?

it's a social shield to prevent her persona to be seen as worse in case of failure
if she fails she can justify herself with that

what I think instead is that people who are afraid to compete lower their value to avoid to be seen as a threat

she hasnt disqualified herself. she has just DLVed herself. major difference between the 2. maybe she doesnt work so hard because she parties alot. you could tease her in that sense or you could do it in a way that you thought that she was a bookworm or something and suppose to live in her books, working night and day lol
